So what does everyone think will be the next re-re. I'm hoping for a FOX or WILD ONE.

I am hoping for a sand scorcher, or egress.

Seems like sentiment is moving away from further re-re's of plastic based models. From reading around and looking at the re-re process to date, it would appear that it may be others which follow the mould of the Buggy Champ, i.e. the Ford Ranger or the Sand Scorcher. I get the impression that the latter would be the most popular of all...

I think a Wild one would do well. they still bring good money and parts are hard to find. I will be getting a Sand Scorcher if they come out.

Tamiya should make a Juggernaut 3. Keep the hardbody F350, give it the TXT beefed up drive train and give it some scale but functional suspension.

I would love to see a Fox or Wild One, but a Scorcher I believe is next on the horizon.

They should have done the Scorcher first they would have sold out in one day like the Slash did

They knew exactly what they were doing. I think the Buggy Champ was sold out before it even shipped. Release the Buggy Champ, everybody gets excited and buys one. Then, as a nice one-two punch, release what any true vintage r/c nerd wants, the Sand Scorcher and we all run out and buy that too. Two birds with one stone.

It's okay though, if this means we're being taken advantage of by a shrewd marketing team at Tamiya, I'm willing to be taken advantage of. 8)

There's Kamtech for that.. I have their Lexan SS body.

Sand Scorcher will be the next kit, its the 30th anniversary. I bought the buggy champ and also picked up a Monster Beetle body... basically the same body as the SS save mount holes, nose peace and tinted windows. If the SS comes out, ill just pick up another body.. No reason to have 2 chassis.. all you need is a body and front mount post.

If they don't put a lexan body in the Sand Scorcher kit, Mr Lexan's bug bodies are pretty sweet. Very close to the Tamiya hard plastic body.

There are more differences like the door handles, rear tails and shape of the fenders.
