Y'all can keep your $500+ rebuilt beaters, and I aint paying 2 grand+ for an NOS one in the box.

My brand new 'Scorcher is on it's way home at about $10 less than 1982's LHS price!

How's it possible to hate & love Tower hobbies at the same time?

$60 dollars off & free shipping!...whoo hoo!

At last, no more searching, no more eBay scalpers!
Not in stock at Tower till mid Feb! I know Asia has them and Tamiya Canada got an air shipment and is shipping only 4 to us today, but at much higher price than normal!

Where did you buy yours from?

I'm on the pre/back-order list with Tower.

I signed up for their "Super Savers Club" back in Dec....I'm glad I did!

I've got no problem waiting another month or so..
Projects and shelfers:
Late Edinger, RC10B2, Dual Sport, GT, Kyosho Turbo Ultima, Triumph, Tamiya Sand Scorcher, Blackfoot/Monster Beetle, '67 Beetle, Nikko Rhino, Traxxas Fiero, Slash, Hand-built Dune Buggy..all on here somewhere...

They should be emailing you coupon codes, check your spam folder maybe? Or maybe if you sign in to Tower's site you will find some on there? If all else fails, send me a PM and I can forward you the last email I got from them with the codes.

We now have 4 in stock, got them on Thursday! They are sweet, PM Hobbycraft is building one for display. I will be getting two for myself in the spring (no coin now). One to build and one to stay MIB!

Sooo.....I'm thinking the Ranger will be spring 2011 or Xmas 2010??

I would love one of these Re-re Sand Scorchers (I just couldn't justify the cost of a 'real' one) Does anyone know if this model will become a permenent model in the Tamiya line-up or is it going to be a limited production run only?

Sure I read somewhere that this was a limited edition. My LHS said they'd ordered 10, but were not expecting to get them all. I've got dibs on the first one (or so he claims) so as long as he gets one or more, I should have one.

To hedge my bets, I have a pre-order placed at another store too...
