My current Corally TC
Image

And a shell I did for my friend (& team mate) I'm rather chuffed that this image has been used on the Corally UK website front page :D
Image

And for a bit of vintage Associated, here's my RC12L (Graphite version) -that I painted back in the early 90s
Image

Heres also a couple of touring car shells I painted that depict the 1-1 race cars that raced in the British Touring Car Series here in the uk in the mid 90s - the yellow & blue Renault is signed by the two drivers that drove the real thing.

Wow! Wish I could paint like that! Is the 12L body still in your possession and in that condition?

Thank you :)

Re; the 12L, that photo was taken only about a month ago, the shell never got used

At the time I wanted the RC12 sticker sheet - but the shop only had stickers for the RC10 - Now these sticker sheets seem to be very desirable :?

This is the Alfa 156 Bodyshell I was running on my Tourer before the White one at the top.... suffice to say it is now wrecked

This one I did for a guy at our club - the main design is a sticker that comes ready on the shell - I just added the black shadowing, lights & the main silver colouring.

A couple of my latest;

A Clod Buster - my first attempt to paint an ABS shell, came out ok I think :) I actually found the truck at my local recycling facilty & paid £2 for it..... though much more has been spent on it to get it to where it is now!

Image

This is a shell I painted for a friend - its a Mk1 Ford Cortina in the classic Lotus colours 8)

Interestingly it came in two halves - presumably to enable the overhanging features in the shell to be moulded on a one peice mould?

I love the Cortina! I knew a guy that had one of those in High School. At the time I thought it was funky and weird but my tastes have changed. :) Those are pretty rare in the US.

That green on the cortina looks great. Bet it looks really good outside when the light hits it.

Yes, I bet Cortina's/Consuls are rare in the States..... my freind has a twin cam converted Ford Anglia (Harry Potter car) I know a few of those were officially imported to the States.

Here's yet another TC shell I did for a mate.... the combination of colours was inspired by a RC10 shell I saw on here 8)

That Cortina looks great, who makes the body?I want one.My mate has an original Lotus Cortina race car so Im sure he would want one,we have had a couple as daily drivers for my wife, one was a consol that had the factory plastic on the rear seat and we also had a Anglia.I love the old small Fords.Another car Ive allways wanted to own is a Ford Pinto. We never had them in Australia.I wonder if manufacturers did an RC body for one of those?

The company that make them is called RetroRacing - the shells are Eu39 which sounds quite a lot - but you do get some stickers & a set of Hex fitment minilite wheels.

The shells themselves are rather nicely moulded with overspray film - but I must admit that the lexan on this particular shell was very thin around the back - this was underneath the cut-line but with a bit of handling during spraying it split - which did spread up just up into the rear valance, which was a bit annoying :|

I finished a couple of shells off this weekend... one was another TC shell like the White/Red/Black Corally in the pictures above for the same friend. The second shell was this MrLexan JRX2, painted in the Pro-formance box art scheme - I just need a complete JRX2 to sit it on!

Oh - & these are the current shells on my racers, sprayed up just before Christmas.
