Shocks for my RC10.

I was wandering if anyone has used other shocks on their RC10 other than the Associated ones for their runner or shelf. I am working on a RC10 with some custom parts and wanted to use some other shocks. Post pics if you can.

I am planning on using some of these custom towers I made some years back and never use them.

Thanks. :D

Back in the day, I used to run Losi shocks on my 10T's, they were just sooooo trouble free--I've
kinda wanted to do that in a build for a while--

i think the ultima rb5 shocks are some of the best shocks around to be honest.

they sell the titanium shock shafts and hardened velvet bodies as a hopup, along with the blue peices in red as a additional hopup.. They are smooth as silk and consistent.

The new Tamiya aeration buggy shocks would fit, are top quality and very smooth.

I really like the HPI shocks, either composite Sport or aluminum Super. Only bummer is they don't make the shocks for the RS4 Rally anymore (same length as .71 Associated shocks).

Plus HPI actually names either shocks by how long they are, instead the length of the stroke.

another cheap option is these from yeah racing

anything from 1002 - 1009 will work depending on size. ive used them, they are nice. i think kyosho rb5 springs fit on them too for more tuning options

Has anybody tried Duratrax Evader shocks? They come in 3.3", 3.8", and 4.3" lengths, are threaded, are available in silver as well as blue, purple, and hard anodized. They are about $11 cheaper than Associated team shocks, $6 cheaper for the anodized colors and about $3 more for hard anodized. There are plastic-body versions for $12, not threaded though. Sure the Associated shocks are probably worth the extra money, but for outfitting a runner, or several runners, saving $22 each car is a new body or set of tires. Plus you are getting threaded shocks, which saves $40 per car over the Associated threaded sets.

I think I am going to try a set of these on one of my RC10Ts.

you can use the evader shocks but you will need to use losi or evader springs because the bodies are larger in diameter just like the losi shocks they were originally based off of. i used 2 sets of short buggy fronts set on one of my dirt oval cars and they work good.
