I see that robinson racing has a metal spur gear that looks like it would bolt onto a stealth trans sine I thought that is what was in a rc10 gt nitro and it is 32 pitch I know but all metal and I would think much tougher than the 48 pitch plastic gears I tend to strip everyonce in a while. I have a bunch of 32 pitch pinions and thought I might try one in my rc10t with a 5.5 bl novak and see how it holds up. Let me know if it would work or just a bad idea.

It micht work, but would shift breakage to internal gearbox gears which take more effort to replace. I would also be worried about clearance as the gt spur gear is a bit biger than the standard ones we use on the buggy. If you are going to run the metal spur, run a gearbox with metal internals too.

might not be a bad idea to try, but keep in mind it will take alot more energy to both spin and stop that metal spur gear.

i tried one on a gt year and years ago, and it ended up being worse than a plastic gear since it ate up pinions like crazy.
