Sand Viper

I have an RC10B4 and RC10 CE and my friend saw mine over the weekend. Thus, now he is interested in getting into the hobby and building a kit has the most appeal to him.

Given that he is budget minded does any one recommend a Sandviper over the RC10B4. It would be about $100 less, even if he gets the most basic motor and speed control for the RC10B4.

Or is there something else that would be a possible substitute for the B4?

Any input would be much appreciated.

Thanks

The Sand Viper is a good entry level car, and very durable, It can be upgraded to be an ok club racer, if it ever comes to that.

Would I recommend it over the B4?? No.

Would I recommend it as an entry level car?? Absolutely.

Check out the Duratrax Evader EXB, although, it's ready to run, you can't beat the $120 price tag on an entry level racer....

Just my suggestions.... :D

The Sand Viper would be an excellent entry level car, great for starting out racing and playing around at the house. If he continues to race, he will eventually buy a B4.. Spend a little more now if possible. The RTR version you can find pretty cheap. Don't worry about the factory team or team version. Not necessary. Most racers convert the FT carbon chassis to the cheaper plastic one anyway.

I would stay away from the Duratrax if you plan on spending any time on a track. Good for the bash tho.
