B3 chassis question?
B3 chassis question?
Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought Factory Team B3's came with the standard length carbon chassis. Well. I have two NIP kits I just opened to build, one being a Team version and the other being a Factory Team version. In the picture below are the two new chassis, the one on the left is the Team version and the one on the right is the Factory Team version. Any info is greatly appreciated!

Re: B3 chassis question?
Cool never seen a short one before!
Just checked all mine - B2, B3 team x2, B3 factory team graphite x2 and they are all long

Re: B3 chassis question?
Like bugle said. I checked my ftb3 and compared it to all the others I have and they are all long chassis. Then again I didn't get the ftb3 NIB so its hard to tell if its originally an ft or just a team. Curious to see an explanation myself.

Re: B3 chassis question?
The only reason I thought this was strange is because my FT B3 runner has the standard chassis too. I think this is pretty cool as both these sealed NIB kits have anomalies. The Team Kit has a blue screw kit and blue rear wheel nuts in the factory packaging. Weird but cool

Re: B3 chassis question?
The FTB3 should have a standard length carbon chassis! It's an AE boo boo or some one swapped the chassis. Was the box sealed?

Re: B3 chassis question?
So should any B3 actually have a short chassis? Or did someone just forget to put the B3 length piece in between the 2 bits when swapping the mould from T3 after taking out the longer T3 piece?
Re: B3 chassis question?
slotcarrod - I'm sure it was a Factory mistake as the box was sealed and the box seal was unbroken.
Bugle - The short chassis was an option but not a part of any kit that I know of.

Re: B3 chassis question?
Check the battery brace that might tell you if the chassis was intentionally put in there, it'd have to be shorter aswell.

Is it going to be a shelf puppy or a runner?Daddeo wrote:slotcarrod - I'm sure it was a Factory mistake as the box was sealed and the box seal was unbroken.
If your running it, I just ran my short chassis B2 yesterday for the first time and you could not wipe the grin off my face!

If it's a shelf queen, get the proper chassis for it (and sell me the short one LOL JK)!

Re: B3 chassis question?
Bugle - The battery brace is short as well so I guess it was meant to be.
slotcarrod - Both of these will only see shelf duty as I have two B3 runners for playing. The chassis will stay with the kit
, but I do know where a couple NIP are.

Very strange, should be standard length! You have a odd FTB3!Daddeo wrote:Bugle - The battery brace is short as well so I guess it was meant to be.

I was just pulling your leg, I have a few short chassis as well! Just letting you know how nice they are as runners!
