My first composite RC10 project

Post by Synergy »

You guys make this project stuff look a lot easier than it is  So this chassis hasn't got enough holes for a stealth so it must be fore a 6 gear tranny right :?: This body don't go around this chassis massive girth is there a one that will :?:. I look forward to all the laughing smilies but can you include some advice among the hysterics please :) :?

Stealth Trans

Post by Sharkman »

ferretti,I'm assuming you have a Stealth for it. Some time ago, there was a metal template that AE made to drill the 6-gear chassis for Stealth trans. If you want to drill the chassis, maybe you have a Stealth chassis already drilled, make a small template of scrap G-10 or even lexan, and "be careful" thats a nice ride

Thanks Sharkman, the car came with a stealth that I wanted to use as I was considering running it in vintage competitions. I do have a couple of 6 gear trans I can put in it, I don't want to drill it I'm not that confident and I have seen a few properly messed up doing it.

I think what I might do is strip this back down and integrate one of my 6010 cars into it as I planned and use this nice stealth car for the Tekin chassis that's on its way. :D
