I'm looking for pictures of the review of the Traxxas Nitro Hawk from R/C Car action. I believe it was from 1993 or right around it and it made the the cover of the magazine. I've contacted the magazine and they keep issues from that long ago, but just as my luck would have it, theyre missing the one I'm looking for. Does any of you have this issue and could maybe scan the artical from me? Thanks in advance...

Just finished, Wish I had more build pics, but somehow got lost. It was covered with a 1/4 of muck on it when I got it. Love the white plastic!

When I worked at Tammies one of the guys started up a company called C&J Racing Products. He made flat chassis with bent sides like a blue chassis 10GT. He also made a H shaped brace for the rear tower that tied to the ball ends on the bulkhead....

Hello all,
I just got a Traxxas Hawk 2 off of ebay.
I can't post links, but I'll post up pictures when I get it.
I wasn't planning on it, but it was just too good of a deal to pass up as the seller didn't know what it was.
It's missing a few parts,...

Super late update, I sold this truck in September at the Vonats. I sold it as a roller, no electronics, body or tires, but otherwise complete. I made some laps with it on the track first and it did pretty well. I have a video somewhere.

I found this on Craiglist and I've been tempted to get it but I don't know much about the nitro hawk anyways I thought you guys would enjoy it. My wife's birthday is just around the corner maybe I can convince her that she needs it :lol:

thats in really nice shape for that kind of money. It might even be in good enuf shape that the pan isn't bent like 95% of them out there.

I recently got a wild hair and decided to pull my old nitro hawk out and give it a bit of a freshen up. My uncle gave this to me probably 20 years ago. Back then I modified it for a standard style crank, and put a disc brake setup on from a nitro...

Yeah, wasn't paying attention to part numbers. When you stated steel my mind went to the hardened aluminum idler like you posted last. Thats the only way I've ever built them that they lasted anyway. Wasn't thinkin steel.

Just sold my Nitro Hawk to make room for other classics, but wanted to post pics as one last nod of recognition. This was my first nitro as a kid, and it had many upgrades added over the years.

got this with a few other cars & think its a traxxas hawk but not 100% sure.
just want to figure out what it is & then Ill probably sell it.

Was thinking of using the trans in on of the nitro hawks to convert to electric. think that would be easier...

yeah, that is a nice enough truck that I'd put some cheap shocks/wheel and tires on it and bash it around a bit........

it looks practically new, you could get a decent amount for it on ebay i would bet.....
