I didn't think it was possible to find one of these NIB, but never say never. This is my third.... the other two 1s I have are in need of resto, but in very good shape. This to me is probably the one true holy grail of RC, especially NIB. I probably spent way too much, but really, to me it is priceless and you'll likely have to pry it from my cold dead hands.

Al has let me borrow Gene's history videos and watching episode II has made it all the better and made me appreciate it even more.

I think the 2nd picture in the "last set" is the Indy style body I have, which I 've come to believe is the Gurney Eagle. I would love to see these scanned, hint hint.

As to the primitive aspect just look at those rear axle uprights, makes you wonder how these cars held up, but apparently they did.

Al, there is no name on the pic, but on the back page of that handout, it lists the bodies. It's interesting that the butyrate bodies are half as much as the lexan bodies listed. I guess it was a function of the "new technology" at the time. The Ti-22 body in this kit is butyrate and the one I posted in your thread is lexan, kinda cool I have both fronts covered now. The lexan one might end being used for a repro in due time.

A question and a note: I have some experience with asbestos in my house in Michigan. Does anyone know if the clutch bells were lined with asbestos? Sure as hell looks like the stuff. I carefully put it in a it's own separate bag.

I would also like to have Steve ask and have his dad provide some insight on the kits, year, etc. Generally, I'd like to know if the kit was offered as you see it in the pics or if the owner has done some assembly.

Oh and how cool would it be to come across or talk to this "Jim Kirby" of Competition Bodies listed on the Daytona wing template. Also like to get some insight Mr. Kirby from Mr. Husting.
