Managed to grab a Yokomo MX 4 off ebay U.S.A for not much money. It was described as being never run, which it certainly seems so. The shell is in mint condition as well as pretty much the rest of the car but I'll prob give it a rebiuld in the next few weeks. See below for pics. Any tips on set up etc feel free to comment. I will run it eventually, but i will need to get hold of some old skool sub c's as my lipos wont fit 8)

I have also attached pics of my current Yokomo Bmax runner complete with 5.5 brushless motor for your veiwing pleasure and my MR4 BX worlds

Is there any way we can get a B-max in the states? even if it were possible, spares would be an issue.

Really nice collection! The paint on the B-max is killer.

Definitely possible I race with a guy locally who runs a B-Max. Neat car for sure. He keeps the usual spares on hand (arms, hubs, towers) and IIRC he said he gets his parts from Sweden.

I need to put some pictures up of the changes I made on mine.
I lined up the battery closer to the center: might be a solution for you to fit your newer pacs too. No guarantee, but I'll try to remember posting them in the coming days

Well I gave the MX 4 a rebuild and what struck me was how awkward the car was to tear down and rebuild, for example just taking the rear shocks off was horrible, and removing the drive train was equally awkward. I replaced all the rubbish phillips screws with steel hexs which made the rebuild a lot more palatable. Yokomo certainly saved a bit of money on the screws in both the YZ 10 and MX 4 compared to the earlier works cars, and indeed the later cars. In my opinion the MX 4 feels a bit of a half way house between the MR4 BX and the YZ 10, which i guess it is!!

Having said that I'm glad I have got the MX 4 as my Yoke collection is finally finished, just need some nimh saddles to see how she runs.
