HPI RS4MT
Wow what a new learning curve? This truck is compaired to my Losi's!! I took it out to play today, I have had it for months now and never even put a hot battery in it. It was RTR when I got it from Red Scampi. I have always wanted one. I was trying to figure out how to make a T4 4wd? and got two of these. great trucks but a pain to work on, I think that comes with all 4wd cars? well I took it around the Living room with the stock motor in it it seemed ok but I wanted more so my LRP 10.5 Brushless and 3200 Lipo found their way into it. Way to much inside, but still not quite what I expeced? it was not much more than my old LXT. so I looked at it and the power transfer from front to back wasnt close to equal? so I pulled it appart, and found a little drive pin one the front drive belt gear was sheared. all fixed and new belt while it was that far down. then another trip into the yard. WOW what a difference. All four tires blowing off the rims like a Prostock in the bleach box. Great truck handles a lot better with the front pulling properly. but the wing didnt make it through one battery pack.

Re: HPI RS4MT
It is an optional HPI part A297 (I think)......it was for the RS4 series of cars. I would only recommend it for running on road or flat grass land as they are pretty fragile for offroad.

Re: HPI RS4MT
Well the first time bashing it in my yard I tore the wing off, and never really liked the body that is on it. so I ordered a NIP one and decals packed them up and put them away for much later. Since I found the optional Dodge body , and threw some paint at it to day, I used my old Raceing colors I think it came out ok. the body fits so tight I had to put some self sticking padding on the inside since it knocked some paint off on the first trial fit. the shocks rub the body on both , but the ford body has alittle more clearence it rubed to. I will take better pictures tomorrow you cant see the real color, its a dark Flo.Orange. its sharp.

Re: HPI RS4MT
Looks sweet!
That truck is a blast and runs like a monkey on Red Bull! If you look around it seems to have a bigger following now than when it was out. HPI makes some of the sweetest most reasonably priced rides on the market. Their over-use of the color black in all their moldings is a major plus too. If I owned an r/c company everything but the bodies would be black. I had two that just happened to come with the Mamba Max that I really wanted off ebay. I traded one for another Mamba Max. If I had it to do over again I'd keep both. Everybody get 'em on ebay while their cheap!

Since being on this site I have found that I have too many parts and R/C Models. Please help me get rid of them.

Re: HPI RS4MT how many here ?
I actually bought two when they came out. Still have both boxes- I am going to polish one back up after my rc10t and I think my brother traded the other, either that one or a rc10t2.
after reading this thread, I am kinda pumped to get it out again.

Re: HPI RS4MT how many here ?
I have one, or at least most of one.... picked up an unknown chassis in an auction, turned out to be an RS4 MT..... was cactus in the chassis, but most of the rest was okay. Got a replacement chassis and runner body from madracer (thanks Mark!), and will need to put this baby together.... I know I have unis all round, and alloy shocks at one end..... but no shocks at the other!!! If I get a chance, I will put some pics up in my TamiyaClub showroom this weekend....

Re: HPI RS4MT how many here ?
Glad to Help Alex.
My RS 4 M/T was great but they are a little boring unless you have a good motor in it. I even had a 2 speed for it but was nothing special as the ratio change was so close to each other it didnt make much difference.
I wish i had mine still but when you need $$$$$ you sell your old stuff right Alex.
Cheers.
Mark.
