While I love my Dog Fighter Ive found the plastic steering knuckles are losing king pins dues to the threads being a little threaded. Ive tried glueing them in place but they still fall out. My question here is- was there ever an alloy replacement part for these knuckles or can i adapt another item that will work with my 91?

There are alloy versions that come up from time to time on ebay for the YR4. These would fit but i think you would need to cut of part of the the steering arm that is used on the boring car hubs.

These ones are on the bay right now

Similar thing used to happen on the optima knuckles (and all consecutive).
Instead of the kingpins with their M3 thread, I use flatheadscrews in M4.
I use the middle tool of the wire tapper to create an M4 thread in the plastic. The middle tool removes enough materiel so the part won't crack, but also leaves enough friction for the screw not too loosen by itself.

You can try finding the RPM version of the steering knuckles...made of plastic with metal treaded sleeve for the kingpins.

you could try original mag 870c, but you would need the flanged bearings. They wouldn't come with the steering restricter arms so you would need to use the tranny to restrict the steering.

I have some lying around so when i have time I'll give it a try and post some pics

You could try opening up the threaded hole and install a stainless steel Heli coil
