Technacraft Pod ID and info needed (Rc12L or Rc10L ss)

Post by drbelleville »

I have an old technacraft rear pod, and after posting in the RC10L "porn" thread about the rear diffuser, I am curious if this pod ever had a diffuser. I believe it to be for an RC12L, although it may be for an RC10L SS? If anyone has some info or insight let me know please. From each axle side plate, it measures 2" 9/16

Definitely missing the difuser. I have one and another member here has one but as far as what model 10L or LSS, I can't say. I can shoot a picture and post in a bit.

Ok, here are a few pictures. Mine is an RC10L and it measures about 3 3/4" external width side to side. Yours may be for the 10LSS or possibly a RC12 something just can't place the CF pieces.

Yeah looks quite a bit different as far as the left side plate and the lower cross-brace assembly. Which leads e to believe that it is RC12L specific. Thanks for the pics and the help.

Yes that is a rc12l rear pod they made them wide and narrow and it is missing the diffuser as AL stated.

Did the diffuser on the 1:12 pod mount with double sided tape and the bolts on the cross brace?

No the bottom bolts into the two holes in the t-bar with nuts&bolts and the upper portion into the aluminium cross brace use button head screws 4-40.

The lexan is sandwiched inbetween the t-bar and the other graphite piece.
