Some fresh paint

Just got this mrlexan reproduction lid painted tonight. It still needs stickers, but the forum has been quiet for a few days so I figured I'd post it up as is.
The lines are not as neat as I would like and are a bit too wide, but it will do for a runner. I had a hard time telling exactly where the color changes should be up around the nose as there are not a lot of pictures of it, so I wound up winging it a little.

This lid will be on top of my vonats 2wd entry.

And for those of you who do not recognize the paint scheme:

I like it. As you said, once it's stickered up it will be perfect (and 20% faster )

Good luck at the vonats.

Very nice paintjob, will look fantastic with a few decals not that it isn't already fantastic. I don't like painting and until I just did my grandson's car body I haven't done a paint job in over 20 years. However in my case even though the job I did was far from what I would have liked to have done, I had a tremendous sense of accomplishment after I completed it and when I put a few decals on it I was proud of what I did. There's a lot to be said for completing these little beauties with a nice paint job and you do get a feeling of a project really being done.

Nice job Anthony! I always liked that paint scheme that was on the RCCA cover.

Yes, Jay Halsey joined Losi sometime in '91 I think. I know he was with them at the '91 ROAR Truck Nats at Columbus OH in September. Also his father Jim was Purchasing Manager I think it was for Losi at the time. There was a line of Jammin products that were sold by Losi, shown on their parts lists and such. I have his front shock tower on my Pro SE, and some tires. Not sure when he left.

no updates until I get a little more work done, 8)
Anybody know where I can get some of these car-action stickers?
Where they available on any of the autographics sheets, or only from RCCA?

I remeber there was a free sheet with one of their issues. I'm sure I've never used it...but can't say I have seen it come up when I was looking through the old mag's some months ago. Probably got lost over the years: I think it was around 92!
