OPTIMA PRO?????
I have a very good nic Optima Pro.
It has a belt drive conversion on it and Gold shocks.
Just wondering what you guys would think it will be worth.
In the process of a full rebuild with a Le Mans motor. All parts will be polished as well.
It was going to be my runner but have just bought a Good Javelin with belt drive.
I will post pics once finished as well as my Jrx 2 5 link will be for sale.( but not giving it away as it owes me quite a bit of coin)
Cheers.
Mark.

Re: OPTIMA PRO?????
Do you have any photos of the Optima Pro?
For an Optima Pro runner, slightly restored, original chain guides and covers, original bumper, reproduction body, belt drive and gold shocks I'd say between $150-$180.
If you had the original box, manual, decals, unpainted body, nice bumper, complete chain guides w/covers, original red shocks, clean white non-yellowed wheels and meaty tires, it would go for over 200+
New in box would be 600 and up depending on condition and who really wants it that bad.
Price really all depends on the condition, actual photos, and how close to original you have it. The Pro is really an Optima with an updated radio tray, Turbo Optima wheels/tires, new body but didn't come with a motor.
I have two Optima Pro runners myself so I have been checking the market daily. I have one for a shelfer and the other as a runner.

Re: OPTIMA PRO?????
Thanks Junkie.
Yes has good original body.
Gold shocks and all chain guards. Turbo rims with new eagle tires.
All original and the only thing not is the new tires and belt coversion but can change back to chain.
So do you think its not worth putting the Le Mans 360 PT in?????
Still undergoing a complete re build. Will post pics when finished,
Thanks.

Re: OPTIMA PRO?????
As a runner, the belt drive and the gold shocks are more durable and would be worth it to the buyer. Does the belt conversion also include that plastic lexan dust cover for the rear gearbox? You can include the chain if it is used. If the chain is unused and new, you can part it out and sell it separately for about $10-20. If you have the original red shocks, it's common to have the plastic collars cracked but you can still part them out of they are like new. If used, just throw them in.
Throwing the motor in would help the price since you mentiond you didn't have the original Bridgestone tires. For some reason good original tires, original bumper, original chain guide and covers are popular and hard to find items.
Hope this helps. Do you plan on auctioning it? If you did a restoration post some good detailed photos.

Re: OPTIMA PRO?????
Yeh the bumper has been cut down by somone.
Yes has the little lexan belt roller cover.
My fully restored Turbo Optima doesnt even have those Brigestone low profiles on as they are so rare and expensive. Got a set of Alloy wheels for the Turbo and is my pride & Joy..
Oh just relised i dont have a set of front shocks so im a little stuck. Did see a set of Yeh racing silver front that will fit at a $15 Au so i can buy them. Pitty though.
Really dont want to spend too much as it has to go.
All in all its in very good Nic so it will make a excellent runner.
Hope to finish by the end of the weekend.
Thanks again and will sell with Le Mans motor.
Cheers.

Re: OPTIMA PRO?????
The bumper being cut and missing front shocks will hurt a bit. Try not spend too much money on it since you are planning on parting with it anyway. If you can, sell it as it is.

Re: OPTIMA PRO?????
Almost finished the Pro.
Has new Yeh Racing polished alloy shocks on it.
Just won a Thorp/Dirt Burners Final pinion and Under Drive set for it.
Got a Kyosho option wing mount kit for it too.
Just have to buy a wing from Marawan and new decal set.
Ive decided to keep her as it looks so good and will not get much on flea Bay.
Will post pics when finished.
Cheers.
