Dye Fiberglass?

So, have you / can you dye fiberglass the same way we dye nylon parts? Good results?

Yes, but it takes longer compared to nylon. What I mean is if you want to match fiberglass parts to nylon parts you will have to boil the fiberglass much longer.

I have front and rear shock towers from a parts lot that were dyed black. I assumed they were dyed black as I don't recall any originals being graphite. If you didn't know better you would think the dyed parts were graphite.

Yup. I had one that was dyed before, but it wasn't done very well, and it was more brown looking than black. I re-dyed it with black and it came out looking pretty much like a new graphite tower.

thanks for the tips. I'll throw in a set of towers in the next dye lot to see what happens.
