hi guys,what should i gear a stealth transmission (champ edition) at for a 19turn brushed motor.also its for a short grass track

rc10b4,rc10b44,tc3,tc5,rc10 worlds,rc10t,rc10ce,rc10 team,rc18t

If your running the stock 81 tooth spur gear, the manual recomends using a pinion that is the same number that the turn of the motor is.( ie start by runnning a 19 tooth pinion and go from there. )

Running a 54T 32P AE spur. The B4 RTR manual recommends 9.57 as FDR for a 19T motor (I think the original Radon 17T was stock in that car). A 54/10 would be in that neighborhood for the six gear, does that sound about right? I'll most likely run...

I have a reedy quad spec 19t in a b4. the comm is in a terrible state after about twenty minutes running. i have standard wheels and a 23t pinion on an 81t spur. the battery is a 2 cell 5000mah and the esc is an lrp ipc v6.

Hey everyone.

I was looking for a 19T brushed motor to put in the RC10 i'm building, but cannot find any of the ones I know are good. Are there any websites that still sell new brushed motors? If so, which ones are good now-a-days?

Trinity has released a new line of brushed motors - they are called SpeedGems ; they are available in 15, 16, 17, and 19 turn winds. I got a few of them from Phil's Hobby Shop for $29, each (free shipping over $50).

Someone please help a brother out with some understanding about gearing (and motors)

I had been out of the hobby for like 25 years....n in the past 2 months, how else can I put this....Im freakin hooked.

Your running 23*81 now...I wouldnt go over 27-28 tops (hits your 3:1 ratio), or drop to a 78 and do 26-27 tops.

Heck, if your feeling dangerous, try a 30...BUT ::warning:: if something lets out the magic smoke...I told ya so!!

ok more from me..
i am sticking with the 32p gearing. I modded my VXL rustler to 32P gears to prevent stuck sand and flat out stronger gears.

I plan on using about a 8.5t motor on 2s lipo.
Does any one have a suggestion to what pinion size to...

I believe thats an atlas part you are talking about. He is repro-ing them and usually has them on ebay or in the b/s/t area when he has a batch...
