Duratrax RAZE truggy

I almost din't bother posting this, but I'll sleep better knowing I did. I am not a proponent nor dis'r of Duratrax, but I did come in contact with a RAZE truggy recently. I have to say for the price it's a pretty good r/c. I believe you can get them for $300 RTR regularly(if I'm wrong I apologize). I was recently at "Cousin Eddies"(see my Traxxas post for explanation)and they had a Duratrax RAZE truggy. I told my wife "I wonder what that goes to?" pointing to a gallon of fuel. She vaguely knew what I was getting at. I know she did because she pointed at the 1/8th scale truggy and said "That?". I was first amazed at it's size(and yes, that's what she said). Then I was amazed that it was there. I had no idea that I would be dealing with r/c on this day. i asked about it and Cousin Eddie offered to fire it up. Looking at it I figured there was no way it would start. I have experience with Nitro and it can be a finicky bitch. He doesn't know much about r/c and why should he? Not many people do. I can't hold that against them. It was an impulse buy on the same day as the Traxxas. He went to start it without a glo-starter and I had to let this go on for a bit in the raging heat. He had installed a pull-start and anyone who has had one will testify that it can piss you off pretty quick. After letting him build a good sweat I mentioned that he might want to try a glo starter. It fired right up! I couldn't believe it. His sons then ran tank after tank without much problem. I helped him tune it a bit, but for the most part it ran well even under the worst conditions. It wasn't super fast, but it wasn't slow. The brakes were terrible and it was horribly under-powered in the steering dept, but it ran like a 3-legged monkey. His 9 year old son then proceeded to take it over a dirt ramp that has to be 6 feet tall!
Pass after pass it kept running! I have a Duratrax Maximum ST PRO in my shed and there it will stay, but that RAZE is a pretty cool truggy if anyone was wondering. Great engine and tough as S#!t!
