I'm sure a lot of you that frequent DODC are familiar with Dyno-tech, but just thought I'd share some pics of my delta sprinter without the cage and body. Push rod front suspension, and a vertically mounted motor. The battery is also mounted on its side. Really a fun car to drive, they just came out with a long wheel base chassis that I think I'm going to try soon.

enjoy!

cool! any effects from the torgue on acceleration; car pushing to one side?

Taken from Dynotech's web site:

"One of the most unique features of the car is the vertical mounting of the motor through the bottom of the chassis. We designed the car this way in an effort to utilize the torque of the motor to rotate the car as opposed to jacking the car front to rear under heavy acceleration."

Awesome build, a '10 with laydown shocks all around would be a nice project as well

This is cool. Almost as crazy as some of those Japanese builds we've seen. Sounds like it'll work. :)

It's definitely cool but I don't get the physics, it almost looks like they've designed it to achieve the highest C of G possible :? , a really nice exercise in different but surely not a serious performer, the torque effects of the motor must have a detrimental impact on consistency :?:

I have one of these cars. They are actually a very good performer, especially on high bite clay tracks.

With the cage on, you would see that there have to be compromises to the lowest possible cg to fit everything within the regulation size cage.

The battery is stood up to fit the electronics, and to get weight on the left side. Again, the cage forces some compromises...

It's an oval car. The motor torque provides consistency when turning left, that is all it is designed to do.

It's a class I know nothing about but I'm learning, different tools for different jobs, it starts to make more sense, thanks.

cool car! There was one on display in the hobby shop out here. I think the guy that runs our DO track has a few of them.
