I thought that those torches were benzene- not a significant risk of leaking liquid as far a I knew-
If they use LPG though...1 liter of LPG at (standard temp and pressure) becomes around 10 cubic feet of vapor (about 270:1 ratio), which if ignited increases by about the same factor-
(we studied LPG as a hydrocarbon during the summer, but not benzene)
Anyway....I got this for my RPM Ultramolded buggy

Not really 'in the post', but I'm slowly sorting through the cars I got in the big lot I picked up on the weekend (1000+km drive, 12 hours return trip).
First up is the Ultima:

Next, Kyosho RS200:

Followed by Tamiya TR-15T nitro truck:

And finally Tamiya 1:8 TGX nitro:

Plenty more to come, too!

Dayum, if you drove that long & that far to pick up RC cars, you really earned your forum name.

I usually earn my forum name by not being like my forum name......

As long as you use proper ventilation and keep the gas fittings tight you shouldn't have a problem. Just basic safety precautions. I've used propane and mapp gas many times without any issues. Mapp gas will produce a hotter flame and is what I'll be using. I ordered a torch with a hose for ease of use and will pick up the mapp cylinder at Home Depot. As long as you use a good flux it's quite easy for soldering tubing. Brazing requires a lot of heat which is why I've decided not to go that route.
Here is a little video on soldering brass tubing.

I spent a great deal of my youth watching sprinters and modifieds running around dirt ovals. Those were some fun times! Sadly most of the tracks around me have closed due to urban sprawl.

I'll have to get my oval fix in 1/10 scale for now.

So, two days after I complain that the parcel got lost in the mail, it shows up at my door.
Kyosho Super-10 FW-03 with tons of options:
- Cross wide alloy front upper and lower arms
- Cross narrow alloy rear lower arms
- Kyosho adjustable toe rear upper arms
- Cross alloy steering
- Cross hard milled countersunk main chassis
- Cross alloy rear universals
- 1 Kyosho front universal (since it's missing part of the front suspension on the other side)
- front one-way
- rear rigid axle
- two speed
- aftermarket rear swing bar
- turnbuckles
- carbon top deck
- aftermarket front bumper
- adjustable Kyosho shocks up front, Serpent up rear
- finned motor mounts
- possibly titanium hinge pins
- Futaba S9303 and S9402 servos
- CZ engine
- fiber brake disk
- unknown wheels pushing the width to full race width (240 mm) - will have to see what I need to change to be able to use the 220 mm wide McLaren body I picked up earlier.
I think it was worth the US$150 + 35 bucks shipping I paid for it.
To be converted to electric.

I wish someone would make these wheels again. It's a real simple design. These would look kick arse on that T-bucket your building. I'm starting to think of putting these on an RC10 instead of my planned supermod.
Does the BME chassis take a standard RC10 nose plate? I've seen a few of those out on e-Bay but no nose plates.
