No thanks to phin

Lazer Lite pro Stock, I'm very happy with the find actually, it had a rough chassis but I just happened to have one laying around lol. I'm in love with the wheels, I may have to learn how to polish yet! The slipper will go into my LazerLite pan car and the two speed from it will go here. Perfect match!

Wow, those are some really nice looking rear wheels. To think the seller didn't have a decent pic of them in the auction...I couldn't even tell if they were aluminum or chrome plastic from what was posted on eBay. :|

He had a nitro motor on it too, that's why it had the chassis mods and motor mount flipped. Luckily he didn't mod a lot. Just need to fab a motor mount brace and lots of cleaning

Went after this one for the electronics...NESC-1 and NES-1A. :)

Body is in pretty nice shape and the auction claimed it was painted professionally. It's initialed WRL '87.

I received something awesome in the mail today, but it wasn't really a purchase...I've had these wheels for a long time, but having taper-fit inner hubs that would only mount on old 80's tapered friction-fit axles, they wouldn't work with modernized, resto-modded cars with crosspins and hexes or slots. I had ideas from way back for these wheels to mount on my Optima Mid "OptiMutt" project, but they would need to be creatively machined to get them to mount.

So I shipped them off to jwscab with some detailed measurements and ideas, and he did the dirty work machining them. He shaved down the inner conical part so it would be flat, then machined crosspin slots into that, while making sure the backspacing would still work. What can I say, but Joe did a beautiful job!

Now one of my projects that's been in limbo for months is almost complete! OptiMutt will truly be a one-of-a-kind car now. Thanks a ton!

Joe did such a nice job, the wheels look like they were manufactured that way. 8)

Wow! Some cool stuff you guys have collected! Loving that Golf Mk.1 and prostocker.

I haven't received these two items yet but stoked enough to post pics. I have a plan.

1/10 Mini-Mags.

RC10L-4

This is what is what I plan on building. A supermodified with a brass tube frame bolted to the 10L-4 with aluminum Mini-Mags and scratch body and scale motor. Already drawing up the plans.

Not mine but this is what I'm going for. I think it would be far too weak on it's own which is why I'll be bolting mine to the 10L-4 chassis. Not to mention working out the handling would be beyond me. As soon as Home Depot opens this morning I'll be off to look at torches and brass tubing.

Very cool project! Love me some supermodifieds! The rubber stamp gets thrown out the window- every one is unique

Just how difficult is it to braze tubing? One of my biggest fears is also blowing up the house with the torch. Can that happen with the little propane torches?
