So, based on something I saw Michael from Revolution Designs do, I was able to swap on B4 wheels by only adding a spacer and changing the outside bearing. Can't wait to try it at the track!!
This uses the STOCK axle, either inline or trailing, no need for GT WIDE axles.
The "demo" picture:
Installed on my re-re:

Joey I've seen twice now thus spacer trick but I've mounted up two sets now with no spacer and it's on the money. Spacer for kicking out the tire for wider width? Love the build and trying to get two cars ready for an upcoming race. Following this closely.

Reggie can probably chime in to verify but I'm pretty sure what they don't like about a longer axle or offset to run those wheels is that the pivot point is wrong and it causes the handling problems that Reggie mentioned in the Worlds ReRe thread. Physical fit may be perfect but the geometry is "off"

Johnboy, are you using the 2 different sized bearings? If you do that, with a B4 offset wheel, it will glide back and forth on the axle. If you use standard B4 bearings in standard B4 wheels on stock axles (which fits perfect, no issues, no spacers), it will narrow the front end up. If you use the GT wide axles (and now re-re Worlds style), the pivot point "swings" the wheel around, not pivots. I can't really explain it well, but I did notice a difference.

That's it. I was using the non flanged bearings on both sides. I'm trying two things with the standard rear arms and two different rear hubs. We'll try to get them to the track to test which one works for us.

Well, after racing last night, I do not have wide white front arms any more

busted both of them last night. Once "moving" a B5 out of the way, the other side when the pipe refused to move at the end of the straightaway.
Got me gearing dialed in for blinky 17.5 (32-72) and the car felt really good. I got a really bad start in the main and fought my way back up to fourth. 2nd place car broke as I was catching both 2nd & 3rd. I got within a couple feet of him on the last lap when I busted the arm with a couple turns left to go. Was still almost on top of him at the line, just over 2 seconds back. It is so much fun beating up on 22 2.0s & B5s with a gold pan

and their surprise as I motor on them down the straight.
Need to rebuild the diff, its a bit on the crunchy side. I picked up a set of small bore hard anno'd threaded shocks (Team C) and will be building them up and installing them, I may be moving the big bores over to my son's car. If I dont like the feel, I will swap them back on in a heartbeat.

Bummer, but good to hear it is still a strong runner! Other than my broken ballstud last time out, mine seemed to handle great!

Did a bit more work than I anticipated
- Built and installed the small bore shocks - feels great.
Rebuilt the CVDs - they were a bit rough and squeaky
Swapped in my "spare" diff - MIP lite drives and alloy diff gear (HG?)
Installed Avid Triad slipper system
Pulled the re-re 1.5 degree rear mounts & 1.5 GT rear carriers off - swapped on 3 degree T2 mounts and zero degree carriers
Re-worked the crush tubes, one was a touch too short, letting the axle/wheel bind
The car feels sooo much better on my "test" area (bumpy grass in front of the house). Very punchy and quick to turn. Cant wait to get it back onto the track to confirm the positive changes.

Small bore shocks:
Rear carriers/hubs & rebuilt CVDs
MIP Lite Drives
Avid Triad slipper set up (very light & triple slipper pad set up)

Well, raced it this weekend. And yes, I changed shocks again.

Why the shock switch?

I built my son a B4.2 from all the extra B4 stuff laying around, so it naturally wanted the big bores off it. I originally put the Team C small bore shocks on there, but had my gold shocks/white parts just laying there staring at me, so I dropped those on

The feel more "natural" on this car, and look correct. I will admit, to anyone looking at the shock collars, I continue to use the Team C springs, as they are much longer than the AE springs and the car feels fantastic with them. I will need to ask the person I got the shocks from which ones they are...but I think they are the "soft" version.

The gold ones will stay on there for a while. Since I am speedo challenged, I will probably be robbing the speedo for my purple SC10 build. Been eyeballing the reventon speedo's for my vintage cars, dont plan on running any more than stock in any of them.
