Originally the WOIN label only applied to builds that followed aeiou's original build. Somewhere along the lines stock arm RC10s using B4 castor blocks and rear hubs to run 2.2" wheels started getting called OIN/WOIN too and the name stuck. :|

Does anyone know for sure if these axles will fit in the B4 steering block?
I wouldn't have said it if they didn't fit,

As with most people on here that have built a "oin/woin" or two or three, I have tried just about every combination of axle/hub/carrier/spindle/arm/mount/driveshaft/chassis/tower/shock combination known to man.

Have you tried Jake's arms with B4 rear hub carriers and RPM worlds arm mounts on a narrowed rear chassis? Would be great to know if it works or not before I start buying parts and hacking tubs. ;)

I have not tried to run/drive that setup, however I did try to build it once. With the right combo of stuff it will work... I think its b2 cvd with b4 axles and if I remember right. It works better with Jakes arms than it does dynotech because they are slightly wider and you should be able to use 1.5 or 3 degree RPM Mounts. I know with Dynotech arms the driveshafts bottom out with anything other than 3 degree. Unless you have some RC10 cvd bones laying around to put on B4 axles in which case Dynotech arms are just fine.

I personally like Jakes arms with t2 mounts, un-narrowed chassis with B4 CVD's and either RPM RC10GT Hub carriers or Customworks #3241 axle carriers the best though. Everything works out the best this way with minimal shimming. And you could throw on some B4 rear hexes and use modern wheels that way to boot.

I got a bunch of parts in the mail (thanks to Bill at Cline Hobbies) among them were the worlds steering kit, and some inline wide front axles and steering block. Nothing major... :)

Still trying to decide how I'm going to make new shock towers for the B4 shocks. I really want to get some natural G10 for the towers as I think it looks better than the graphite for a gold pan.

I also need to get proper turnbuckles for the linkage. I should really write all this down.

Well, I thought it would never happen but I finally got around to getting some new towers to mount the B4 shocks. Thanks to GoMachV!

Lots of little things to button up still... hopefully it won't take another year and a half. :|
