Actually it started out as a CVD solution for Ultima/Optima but I inadvertently hijacked the thread. :) It's not even over yet either. I have two sets of Kyosho UM510 coming. They are 62.5mm but with an axle that is 2mm longer than the LA245. If the specs are correct, then an off the shelf 12mm hex hub will work without machining.

NO F---ing way did this thread start this way. It started simply with me sharing a link to Kyosho USA showing W5061 universals as still available. :roll:

I don't understand what the problem is, Aaron...there's a lot of useful information and detailed specs throughout this topic.

How long are the stub axles on a stock set of UM522 65.5mm driveshafts?

ETA: I just saw part number UMW749 (65.5mm shafts with 3 line stub axles), are these stub axles the same as part number UM510...?
