I used Associated mini nuts (not sure of the part number, but when I get it I will edit the parts list), Racer's Edge concave washers and the Associated washers that look gold but are not anodized. I guess I should hang on to the part tags for a bit after building these cars, it's just a matter of getting to the hobby shop to get the part numbers though.Soncho Ponza wrote:where did you get your gold hardware....

Re: Vintage AE's RC10 graphite runner
I got the temporary body done up with the homemade decal sheet. The decals intended for the black area didn't show up, so I had to improvise. I think it still looks ok til I figure out how to paint the good body. I hope you don't mind Atlas that I picked a text font and put you on the body...I felt that I had to given the amount of parts I got from ya.
I would go for the JWS paint for sure if I could justify spending a wad of cash for a runner body. Bad enough that the graphite wing is just for show, because the first time it rolls over it will crack into pieces because it is paper thin.

Hi Vintage AE,vintage AE wrote:hi Associated,
The standard front arms will work, BUT you will need B4 steering blocks, B4 front axles, B4 rear hubs, rear B44 CVAs, the bearings that fit the rear hubs are 3/16x3/8 and the bearing spacer ASC7377.
I have used Team car rear RPM arms, which I am not sure if they are the same length as the arms you are using. What model RC10 do you have? If you don't know, does it have a 6gear transmission or a stealth transmission?
Cheers,
Anthony
Thanks for Help .
I have a Rc graphite with stealth transmission and can i use Rulux rims on mine or other rims too ?

In front, what bearins must i put on in front rims ?
Great job on your RC, beautiful Buggy
Thank much

hi Associated, I haven't checked into this thread in a while...the bearing size you need is 3/16x3/8
time to finish this buggy up. I finally got a body painted for it and actually did it myself
It only cost me 10 bucks and I wont feel bad now when I roll it.

Re: Vintage AE's RC10 graphite runner
got some choice decals from the parts used on this build on the body. I think it looks like a good runner now.
Just gotta wait for summer now

Re: Vintage AE's RC10 graphite runner
Been running this one a few times since the last post. It's not as pretty as it once was, but it works great. I like it better than my gold pan car. Thanks for the hot motor Rod, but it got a bit toooo hot. It got so hot it came unsoldered
Looks like it's time for new tires and a little soldering

Looks nice! It seems the hot motor also boiled a set of tires.

I must admit that this build of yours is an inspiration for a build I have in mind!

Re: Vintage AE's RC10 graphite runner
It was a fun build. I would love a set of LOHAS wheels for it.
Thanks for the compliment

Re: Vintage AE's RC10 graphite runner
You are welcome!
Yeah, a set of Lohas wheels would be awesome on your car, and mine as well when I get around to building it. I don't see them on E-bay any more, so I wonder if we can still get them or not?
Had I not seen your graphite runner build on here, then my old RC10 would of have stayed in its box where it had been for years.
Thanks for making me feel nostalgic which awoken the sleeping RC10, and then my E-bay account also right after!

It's all good considering I missed the car anyway!

PS: I'll try not to be a copycat all the way, but to do it with my own twists.

Another question: What size gold anodized sunken washers should I look for? I like that neat touch you did there with the gold washers. Thanks!

Re: Vintage AE's RC10 graphite runner
I'm not exactly sure which size the washers were. I think they were 3mm...I seen them at the hobby shop and just went for it. They fit well btw though.AnonymousRC10 wrote:Another question: What size gold anodized sunken washers should I look for? I like that neat touch you did there with the gold washers. Thanks!
Probably wont be til summer. It's not quite as pristine as it was, but it will still look good. I think if I ever get a set of 5 spoke LOHAS wheels I will paint another shell for it with a nice John Player Special scheme. If that does happen then I will probably shelf it...after running it lightly...maybelebowski770 wrote:Can we get some sexy video action of this buggy running?![]()

All right, thank you for the size information.vintage AE wrote:I'm not exactly sure which size the washers were. I think they were 3mm...I seen them at the hobby shop and just went for it. They fit well btw though.
I know I should just break out my digital caliper, and go measure the screw head diameter.

Thanks again though!
