golly that would be nice...

i'd race a vintage class down there in a second. doug was talking about getting something set up, but i know now his focus is on real race cars. i did very much enjoy the trip to ct last year, but i'm weird and like to drive till i lose the feeling in my buttocks...
scr8p wrote:badhoopty wrote:not only that but it was hectic enough with just the classes we had.
being as though it was your first race, and running 2 classes on top of that, i can see why you'd feel that way. but, it really wasn't that bad.
i definitely wont be as newb the second time.
i'd still prolly drive like a tool and case on top of other people accidentally but often..., but i would at least know better what to bring and all that. i certainly wouldnt be up till 3 the morning i was suppose to leave gluing tires and all that. you
are planning on going regardless, right scr8p?
i'm not hatin' at all on the true vintage class. i'd MUCH rather see that than the heavy metal class.

oh ya, i'll go no matter what. 2wd and 4wd this time around, and a pure stock car is there's enough to run them.
hopefully i'll have a camera car put together for some on track video. i wanted to last year, but ran out of time and money.

jay hooked me up with an 870c a couple months ago. it'll be pretty much stock, with the exception of threaded associated shocks. and i need to get a set of 2.2 yoke rims.

Pretty soon I will have an RC10 built, if you keep up the pace you are going!
I am wondering since Erich has been hit and miss around here, plus dealing with what he has been dealing with, is this going to fizzle out this year? I certainly hope not.

as long as they have the dates set in stone, i don't see why it would fizzle out. the only difference i'd see if erich wasn't involved would be the door prizes and trophies. but, that could be picked up by someone i'm sure.

Dates haven't changed as of yet,
Erich was down at RCHR on Saturday, racing in Oval class

, he was telling me that everyone seemed to have a good time at the nationals, and they're definitely doing it again.
I told him about the "pure stock class" also, and as Mark told me before, he said that, it's gonna be a hard class to sell, due to how hard some of the stock parts are to find.
I also asked him, if he was gonna be involved in it? He said, "off course it's my race"
Mark asked him about the dates, and so far it seems like it's still on for Labor Day weekend.
Any other info I get, I'll relay to you guys as soon as it's made available to me.
I'm thinking of racing in 2wd buggy,2wd truck, and classics class.

Tecnica, next time you see Erich at the track, please ask him to stop by the forum and let us know where our Jrx2 bodies are.

I apologize guys, I didn't know there was something going on, I'll try and be more careful the next time I post.
Like I told Civilguy, If I do see him again, I'll let him know.
If I don't see him again, don't hold it against me

tecnica, no need to apologize at all, and of course we have nothing to hold against you. All I can say is thank you for letting us know.
