That's coming along well :D I use Elmer's purple washable glue stick for everything these days , I have the same Creality glass bed and it's worked well when new but did need constant cleaning with isopropyl alcohol , now I just use the glue stick , it's always for me the circles it prints for holes that cause problems but it doesn't look like that is your problem as it's the perimeter that's come away ?

The bonnet is printed, and while it is not perfectly exact reproduction, it would do it for any Bearcat SS, Bearcat or Tomcat owner without bodyshell (I did not saw any reproduction for those anywhere).

it would require a bit of finish and probably a print with a finer thickness, but it's definitely better than nothing.

And would you consider this good enough?

I generally clean the bed with acetone. It worked well until now. However, there is an area where I start to have systematic adhesion issues... Here it was the circle and the perimeter that did not stick. I could have retried after having cleaned and relevel the bed it would have probably worked (seems my bed was not properly leveled as I had an issue looking at the measure matrix in this area. I may retry later on, but I know the dims are right, so it's of no use right now...

Looks pretty good , it could do with just a touch of rework on the bonnet bulge , maybe just a little lower and more chamfered but good enough as it is .

The weather was nice this afternoon, with a warm and sunny Sunday. I was outside, and I decided to start the clean up of the Bearcat SS...

First action was to put the bonnet, roll cage and rims in glanzer. I removed the stickers later on as I forgot that...
Image

Then I focused on the rest... Plastic chassis parts, transmission and metal parts...

I have one suspension axle requiring a bit of massaging...
Image

And I will have to find a solution to replace the suspension axle fixations... Some were missing. That said, I may have a solution for this
Image

And the glanzer bath is working. I can tell as it becomes darker after one hour bath :-). This is there for at least 24 hours, perhaps more. I'll have a look tomorrow when back from the office.
Image

At the end, the parts are definitely cleaner

Some good progress today...

Suspension axles pretty soft, I've straightened a few with pliers or on a small anvil. If by fixations you mean the small split pins I made some out of single core telephone wire wrapped around a pin to make a loop . They only need to resist pulling out with moderate force.

I though about just wire as well... I'm not really too much concerned about this actually :-)
There is many solutions...

1mm split pins on eBay are cheap as chips and easy to find , can't see the point of messing about making them .

Thanks @Dadio!
Great as I just order what is needed for a few bucks. A new proof that searching with the right reference leads to solution out of rc world for a fraction of the rc world cost for the same thing... And unfortunately, experience matters for this. Fortunately you are here :-). Thanks again :-)

The Glanzer is miraculous. It made the job. The bonnet, rollcage and rims are back to their original color.

Image

There si still a bit of work on the rims, and I need to check what I have to put on the rims in the tire department, but that should not be too much issues...
I guess I'm getting closer to rebuild this car :-)

each time i'm using this product, there is the wow effect! Main component is ammonia. There is 5 % of other components... Did not found the safety information, unfortunately (this would be helpfull to assess the composition). And by the way, I would really like to know the composition of the Simple Green some of us are using (but which I can't find here).

For the axle, i decide to use a tool. I believe I could have use a stone, but I just used a Hammer to fix it.

I'm questionning myself on using the front original tires and rears from Kyosho Scorpion 2014. I'll try a method to get the front tire flexible again (not sure it will work, I got this hint from someone - i'll try tonight and we'll see). I have already a set of Scorpion's rear tires, and I'll have to order a driver on ebay to finish this car...

Peanut oil is meant to help soften rubber but I've never tried it myself .
