AVguy,
Can you provide part # for the Bandito tires you have on the JC Racing wheels?
I'm also interested to see how your Factory Works 1/4" hexes fit the stock 1/4" axle. It's noted as a tight fit once you get the 12mm hex on. Once hex installed, I'm not sure if it allows for easy swapping back of rear wheels/tires (stock or J Concepts Hazards).

On mine, I slightly tweaked them for better fit.
A little work with a mini file and drill bit (by hand) allows the hex to fit deeper and more securely onto the axles. While not a issue with the 7171 wheels, some other wheels can benefit with the extra thread length gained.

On the second page, you can see a set on one of my trucks.

juicedcoupe,
With the slight modifications, are you able to easily remove the hexes (say slide off by hand, no tools) and run original style wheels?

Sometimes, you may have to pry a little. Half the time, they come off with the wheel.

Sorry I haven’t checked back for a while. The hex adapters came in over the weekend. Here are some pics with the white wheels. I think the black ones look better. These are just too bright. The only thing left is painting the body but I just don’t have a good place to set up to paint yet. Once I get it painted I’ll post some more pics but it may not be for a while. The hex adapters do have a tight fit and I had to pry them off. One thing I like about the JC Racing rear wheels is that they don’t require the hex adapters. The front wheels use the flanged bearings.

Here’s the eBay link for the rear tires.

Here’s the eBay link for the front tires.

Sorry but I already took off the hex adapters. I can tell you that I didn’t get them seated all the way down and I still had some trouble prying them off. I'm probably just gonna keep them as backup wheels as I like the JC Racing wheels better.

Appreciate the links! Those duratrax offerings are very confusing. I see the fronts you linked to are actually 1/10 oval and has "Bandito M" on the sidewall. I've found other Bandito fronts without the "M" too.
Between Banditos and Anacondas, which one is the better tire for parking lot and street running in terms of tread lasting/wear?
Given the factory works hexes are a bit of work, I think skipping this option and doing the JC Racing wheels are better. Standard fit and the black wheels look great in your pics!

This is my first time buying these tires so I couldn’t tell you what the difference is between any of them or how long they will last. Maybe someone else here has had some experience with them?
I agree, I like the look of the JC Racing wheels better too.

Per the listing and the sticker on the package, our adapters seat to the taper, the notch is simply to clear the pin. Seating to the taper makes for a much more true spinning adapter than butting up to a roll pin.

AVGuy, can you list what transmission you used? I would like to do the same setup as yours. (Transmission, battery cups, etc...).
Thanks

It is a custom case, using components from a V1 Stealth. It also uses tandem idle gears, moving the motor forward and reversing rotation.
