I see the donation meter is instantaneous now but does it tally past the 100 limit?

What we had before was just a subpar board extension someone made that didn't even work well. I figured I could come up with something better myself. Now It's a completely automated system that works independently of the forum. I have no idea though what will happen when the meter exceeds the 100 mark. Maybe nothing will happen besides showing the goal has been met. Any overages are put towards months when donations may not reach the goal.

EDIT: Well it appears we have our answer. The Raised amount keeps counting after the goal has been met which is perfect.

Hi,
Is it possible to have a monthly list of people who have kindly donated to keep the lights on?
Cheers, Dave. :)

Yes, it is possible as that information has been archived going back a number of years. One issue I see with it though are donators who'd rather remain anonymous.

RC10Talk now has its very own shoutbox which for those who do not know is like a mini chat system. It's a popular way to post a random blurb of anything you want to say. Go ahead and give it a try.

You can also adjust some of its settings under your User Control Panel. Things like moving it to the top or bottom of the Index page, or removing it from the Index page altogether. You can also turn on or off its sound feature.

Does shoutbox have "history"? I mean how long messages are staying there?

Jirka

PS. Thank You Lowgear for all the work for this forum that You have done in last few weeks.

Here is what I see using windows 10 and firefox.

***EDIT***
Chat works. It's only the link to it on all the pages that looks messed up. Most likely a theme issue since nobody else has noticed it.

You guys are very welcome. I thought the chat would be something fun and useful to add to the board.

In regards to chat history. It stores the history in an archive that gets purged at a specified amount of time. Right now it's set for every 24 hours to reduce server load. I think I can configure it to show members the archive if need be.

I saw that problem with the 'Black' theme after installing the chat system but it was 5:00 in the morning and I was too tired to mess around with it. I'll look into it today but it's definitely a compatibility issue. That theme didn't work entirely right even before having it try to display anything new. I'm going to have to try uninstalling and reinstalling it which means the few members who use it will have to re-select it again. It might not be something that's possible to fix but we'll see.

Alright, I had some time to really look into the issue, and it is now resolved. I didn't have to uninstall or reinstall the theme so the members who are using it won't have to re-select it as their default.

You're welcome. :)

In other forum news, I fixed the emoticons. They haven't displayed properly for over 11 years now as some were surrounded by white artifacts. Now they're clean and clear. While I was at it I reorganized them in a more logical order.
