well you have the updated front arms so I guess your wheels are Hot Orange (hard to tell in pics).
do your rear tires have writing on both sides?

Chassis is different than my early car too, and the tires look more like naturals than plastic- I love the historical part of this!!

Glad to be back in this hobby so many many years later. To see new things and to recollect on ALL cool vintage models!

My early car came with the body uncut as well, really kinda neat that you could see every detail in the masking tape under the buckhuminski wrote:Yup this is cool. Fun to see the mix of parts. Wish I knew the original sale date.

My JRX Proformance kit body is the same way with the masking tape all around the flashing-

The early car I just got has the same "odd" graphite pattern inside the kick up like yours. I dont remember that being common. Is your antenna hole countersunk? None of the 4-40 size screws were sunk properly on mine, the antenna wasnt even attempted.
Great to see this unboxed and ready for the build.

Re: NIB Sealed Original 1989 JRX2 Build Thread
I will never understand how you guys could not build something like this. I wouldn't necessarily run it (at least not right away), but I love building kits, slowly, playing around with each sub-assembly as it's completed (I've spend a hour just moving newly-installed suspension links up and down, and I'm sure I'm not the only one). I'm afraid if I had something like this it would call to me, and some night when I couldn't sleep my wife would find me down in my workshop at 3AM, spinning a brand-new gearbox by hand and looking guilty like a dog that got into the garbage can.

Re: NIB Sealed Original 1989 JRX2 Build Thread
Been a while, I've collected quite a few more goodies for this one, but I still haven't opened up a single parts bag. Have a complete NIP hydradrive, New JR's Choice motor, Novak 410M5 that might be new but not sure, brand new in box Futaba Magnum radio, everything I need to make it a full runner. Every once in a while, seems especially around this time of year, I get the itch to build it. Scratch, scratch......
I will be strong.

Somehow, I don't get the feeling that this is ever gonna happen!
