Re: New Schumacher Cougar 2wd buggy!!!!
Lots of places still carry Schumacher, like Stormer Hobbies. Just because Schumacher USA has been closed down doesn't mean they aren't still distributing cars and parts here. They are just eliminating one costly step in the whole sales process and going straight to their retailers.
I don't see parts supply in the US being any more complicated than it was 3 years ago.

Every car that comes across my bench is gonna have a 4m mod of some kind. But that couger is so different in the build that it is tuff to see anything to change. Put kaybe a little custom sumthn sumthn here or there
Mostly just thinking hard about getting one. Worried about parts support though.

Re: New Schumacher Cougar 2wd buggy!!!!
I raced Schumacher cars on road for 3-4 years, never once bought from Schumacher USA, and never had problems with parts supply—outside of the small spur gears for the Mi3. Personally, I wouldn't worry about it. Stormer, Atomic, Nexus and Speedtech all carried Schumacher parts and were in hand in a matter of days when I needed anything.
Honestly, I had a harder time getting some Losi parts when I was still racing off road.

Re: New Schumacher Cougar 2wd buggy!!!!
noticed an SV on auction a few minutes ago as well as a Lazer ZX-R. decisions, decisions... Vintage child-hood 4WD dream or newer Schumacher... Leaning towards the SV. How easy is it to find spares for the SV these days? anything shared with newer versions?
Re: New Schumacher Cougar 2wd buggy!!!!
There's plenty spares available for the SV still. Most of the parts are compatible with the SV2 and even SVR, so no issues for the future either I would think.
