Todd should have pine trees on his bodies, not palm trees !
Not sure why I didn't come up with that...might have to come up with some more $$ for that next time
Also, kudos for beating Alex to the punch RJ!

Dusted off the lath and turned up a new gear hub for the Mini Mustang, this one allows a single gear to fit on the two speed lay shaft , I just couldn't live without breaks any longer , I've got a single speed I my all genuine parts car and I had the two speed in my 3d printed car , so nice to drive it now .

Finished my cheap eBay Tamiya DF02 Rising Storm rebuild over the weekend.... replaced some broken parts, removed a lot of nasty paint, replaced some broken electronics, and removed the rear wing mount (for now, at least).
Went from this:
To this:
Fair to say, I'm much happier with how it currently looks - there was some nasty black overspray from the windows over much of the orange. Also goes better as well, with the tired silver can being replaced with a nice chrome Super Stock Type T motor.

Some assembly required...
The US distributor for Prusa is down the street from my work. I wrote a grant and landed a Mk4 that needs assembling. I'm about 3 hours into the process and enjoying it so far. I have a Bambulab X1 on the way for comparison.

I used to have nine Flashforge printers in my class as a print farm. The current plan is four Bambu X1's and the Prusa.

The teardown has begun. The chassis and all components are in pretty good shape. The tyres were never glued.
The body on the other hand...............
It's been soaking in undiluted Simple Green. It doesn't eat the paint. It seems to get under it and help lift it off. The red and white paint is on the inside and has been coated in black enamel. Then it's been sprayed very thickly on the outside. Lots of scratches on both sides. I can salvage it though. I'll use Tamiya PS white as a primer on the outside and then use PS paint on top.

Good luck with the body ! I've always looked at these and wondered if the lower arms are the same as the Coyote , they look so similar .

Thanks Gav.
They are exactly the same. It also uses Coyote wheels, tyres, stub axles and dogbones. The nylon diff carrier is also identical to the Coyote and Pro 10. Surprisingly, the internal diff gears and output shafts are the splined Pro 10 version.

With my ever growing number of projects in progress, I need more space to store my cars... There was a bit of room between the stairs and the wall, and I found some shelves that fit in the space...

There is at least room for 7 more cars, and I can extend it on the right under the window, that give a potential for 6 more cars... And I could think about adding some shelves on top as there is more room for it... My wife even suggested that I could put soe additional shelves within the stairs as well... So more possible room.
In anycase the way the car are put there may not be definitive, as I'd like to organize this by brand and types of cars... I'm not set yet on that, and I may remove the wires for the stair guard (they were useless anyway in this area)... More room for project and cars is always a good thing
