I'd probably consider buying 3Racing dampers in the same length, probably $39.99 or less for a set of four. What is the extended length of those shocks, between the centers of each mounting hole?

SAWEET!
I had hoped that $24.99 was the price on the shocks, they were listed at that for several days.
Of course they were not in stock.
Is the image from an email?

I got an email for the shocks at 4am "Eastern" and Kyosho is in Cali. So I ordered them as quick as I could. Kyosho was gracious enough to fulfill the order. I figured the price was a mistake so I signed up for the in stock notification. And yeah, that is a shipping notification I got in the mail with part of the tracking no. wiped out.

It was pure luck. I'm going to do all the mods except for the carbon tranny and suspension plates and its gonna be Kyosho red with the shinny rims. Maybe if my hands aren't too shakey these days It will be nice enough for some photos taken and published somewhere.

Yeah I know,,... I'm dreaming.

So tell me, should I go for the 490 brushed or a LeMans brushless?

I went with the 490 from Banzai, didn't do the brushless mainly because I'm not familiar with it.
I still use nicad and nimh, I know lipo is the way to go, but still happy with the old way.

Sounds like you will have a nice build, we will need to see pics :)

Just received my shipping conformation!

Once you go Lipo,,... Well, you know the rest.

Pics for sure! And in the spring she goes to Ocean City MD for some videos in the sand.

Now I need to figure what Tamiya red will match the tub. Not easy out here in the sticks.

Brooke :)

The brushed can looks sweet, but I´d go for the brushless setup. The new tranny just begs for it 8)
It says 2014 Scorpion - so BL setup, carbon, threaded shocks and of You go

I´ll buy some brushed cans to put in my vintage builds though :D

Sounds good. I guess I will need the metal cage so it clashes with the black motor.
