yeah, I like these Traxxas tires...not only do I like the looks, my LHS carries them

I didn't run those truck tire on it, much, they were for another project I was working on at the time. I have a feeling nobody liked seeing those wheels on this buggy

Great catalog of the evolution of a build. I guess I just have weird taste when it comes to r/c. I love the final product, but I’m glad you snapped this pic during the process!

Keeping the evolution alive these pics brings this build to and end.

Rod wanted to see those See's polished up, so I went and bought a new Dremel (my old one kicked the bucket) and some Mothers Aluminum polish and polished them up. I wished I didn't take it out and pitted the wheels before I could do it, but none the less, they still look sweet. He also wanted better pics so everyone could see how reflective the roof and wing are.

I also trimmed the bottom of the body after slamming it and soften the front end up a bit, it was a tad stiff.

I'm not sure how to take pictures of chrome! Maybe you should ask shodog! I know one thing, a dirty tail gate is not a good background! You know, for someone that collects vintage cameras and such, you think you would know!

In any case, again the pictures do no justice to this car. It looks way better in my hands!

Hi everyone,

I know this is a long thread, but just wanted to update everyone on this buggy's progress. Thanks to Rod, I got some big boy electronics...a LRP TC Spec now powers the 8.5T brushless Novak motor and a Sanwa ERG-VRX hyper servo now steers it in the right direction. I also got rid of the battery connectors and just insert the plugs into the batter, soldered on top at 90deg to create a lower profile for the body.

This build is ever evolving. I got a new pan for it because I wanted more stiffness in the chassis, so I got a good cheap one off of ebay and cut it down, but not as far. I also got it powder coated dark blue to match the paint job. While I was at it I got a 3pc chassis down too, for the 4 parts it only cost me $30, which I thought was pretty good.

The evolution continues, time for a new chapter for this build. Say goodbye to flashy and get ready for a new race look

Future plans are to strip the blue powder coat and anodizing on the chassis, nose plate and nose tubes and re-powder coat them red, swap out FT hardware for red anodized hardware and gold mini nuts, remove the anodizing on the shock bushings, and FT turnbuckles, and that should do it.

I have some toyota stickers on the way, but had to paint a toyota logo on the nose since I couldn't find any stickers. I'm going to paint up a small Associated wing to match. The body is held on using velcro, so no holes needed for body posts.

You've done an incredible job over the different faces of your build. Makes me want to get a second RC10 or 10T and go crazy.

Yeah, I run them. I love the classic off road look they give the car. I try and only run it on RC tracks though.
