needed a chain cover for my backup runner. but couldn't get one. so I made one from 1mm lexan sheet. the first attempt was an exact copy from the original shape.

got a test run. and it was ok without the rear end screw. anyway I added the leftover part from RPM steering to hold the cover to make sure. but it looked funny to me

my 2nd try worked well. here goes the result. I love it more than the original cover. it's a great fun to watch the running chain through the lexan cover. 8)

the lexan sheet for the chain cover and RC10 body mount was from #6188 and #6189 sprinter wing kits.
I noticed the half of #6188 is similar to later Wonder Dog Fighter wing while I made this
http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=20122

already waste the wing for the body mount. so had to open another one. saved the 1mm sheet for later, then cut the wing

done. not identical but pretty much close to the original 8)
BTW, please someone help me to get the pink trinity wheels. only have a pair and need another pair

Nice work. I'd like to know how you formed the 90-degree bends? Thanks!

it was done with a hair dryer and a ruler. cut the shape out, put the sheet on a edge of hard surface like the chassis or desk, heat the material, then push and bend it with a thick ruler. and you'll need to protect your hand(s) from the hot air

Awesome, thanks. I'll be giving that method a try in the near future. :)
