So we might yet see this:

Reminds me of a Pop-Tart.

There also could be Smurf Edition:

I like the blue. Something like that I would have rathered.

That's pretty close to a car Block Head Motors built back in 2020... they just used bigger sprinkles.

The Jun Watanabe Hornet was released in 2012 I believe. Did they re-release it under the Block Head Motors label again in 2020 or something?

I just did some RGB color swaps with a picture viewer program.
Dang! I didn't know it was that easy. I wasted 7 or 8 seconds meticulously reproducing the Watanabe scheme onto a stock photo of the RC10.

Not sure if you know anime but, "Get in the RC10, Shinji"
Jokes aside, I'd love a nice full purple chassis and shocks

Donβt get me wrong, the reissues have been awesome β but I think itβs time for a new classic! A unique twist or a limited run with modern touches, slightly new look design chassis, slight body change even, would keep things exciting for more folks.

Not my bike but I've always been a fan of the Eddie Lawson Kawasaki's so I'd probably use these colors.
Combined with green anno chassis and motor plate and gold shocks, it might work.

Since Watanabe owns Blockhead my guess is the car is from the 2012 rerelease but Blockhead was/is still making pink tires.
Just one color? If you're gonna tease, use ALL the colors and go full Halsey....

Ok, I'd buy that one.

Did AE maybe choose green for the chassis to go with the green suspension bits on the latest batch of re-res? Easier to make a green chassis than to go back and "un-green" molded plastic...

The first thing I thought when I saw the green car was its a Mike Reedy tribute. Maybe people have forgotten what he did for team associated.

Did he run a green car? I'm not familiar with a legacy non-neon green chassis.

A Mike Reedy tribute would be cool, but I don't think this is it. They weren't shy about "Jay Halsey" on the JH tribute, so it would be odd to do an incognito tribute to Reedy. Surely a Reedy tribute would have some special element related to his motors.
Green is the color of money in the US.
I have nothing against this buggy. I hope it does well for them just as I hope every re-re from any manufacturer does well. I do wonder who the intended buyer is, though. I think it must be for speculators and the "I will buy anything you release" folks. Nothing wrong with that. I just don't see many people passing on the CC, the 40th, the DS, the 10T, and the graphite to get this one. It must be aimed at folks who will buy them all, or folks who are trying to guess at future value.

Somewhat surprising that the preorder is all sold out on the green one.

Maybe because it is unique, compared to all RC10's before it.
The clear was a novelty, but then they made other clear models.
