Awesome! Just to close the loop even though you have the parts you need, I also looked at a rc18 I have and it's got pretty large ball ends and cups, so no good there.

Yep, I think all of those ball studs are about the same size except for the Dubros. I'm glad I found what I needed, normal buggy or pan car size steering gear looks monstrous on this car.

Thanks, it's not that good. :P I wish I had some milling equipment and a lathe so I could make parts the way I really wanted. I've been looking at some cheaper small scale machines and I might just make the investment later on.

Mopar?.... Sacrilege! It will be chevy powered like all of my cars. Actually if I could find 1/10 scale hemi valve covers it would be a mopar. I tried some 1/8 scale covers from ShapeWays and they were cartoonishly large. I found 1/10 scale sbc covers from RC4WD so Chevy powered it will be. As it should. :P

This thing is shaping up awesome. I like that spun aluminum look. Looks real. Just a curious question, are you going to narrow the rear tires? I think it would look killer with some period correct looking skinnies on there.

I don't want to narrow the wheels on there since they're vintage. If I could find a decent looking modern mag wheel I could modify to fit then I'd try that.

Anyone know if Yokomo wheel bolt holes line up on an RC12 hub? Maybe I could use an adapter. I'd buy these and mod them if I knew they would fit.

Where's the EASY button? Why can't things just fall into place? :P Heck, I guess I'll have to try now.

You need something like these to resemble vintage drag tires.

That would be awesome if I could find some tires like that that fit. I've been looking and found nothing so far. I'm probably just going to stick with the setup I have now. If I find something later on I'll switch up.

Just placed an order with Lunsford for more pricey titanium screws, they're totally worth it though. This weekend I'm going to finish up the body and the firewall and then make the two remaining fairings next to the driver. I'll put up a tutorial on bending up metal, might help someone that's interested. Hopefully my ball studs will come in this Monday so I can get the steering done. I also ordered some 5/8 aluminum round bar so I can make a keg tank. Going to be fun!
