Re: #6002
I can honestly say I'm not interested in this one. I had a decent black-and-white Worlds car, and since I'm not a collector, it wasn't different enough from the others to make it special to me, so I sold it to someone who (I hope) appreciated it. Glad I sold it when I did, however...

Watch PL come with some 1/4" axle 2.2 rear wheels, some proper 2.2 fronts or some more 1.9" tires or something too. Bring it on!scr8p wrote:Phin wrote:Well sales of Detonator bodies just stopped.

AE graphite towers will likely put a hurt on aftermarket CF towers.Y'ernat Al wrote:Watch PL come with some 1/4" axle 2.2 rear wheels, some proper 2.2 fronts or some more 1.9" tires or something too. Bring it on!scr8p wrote:Phin wrote:Well sales of Detonator bodies just stopped.

Unfortunately, PL putting out the Mirage SS may also hurt the already dismal chance that they'll re-re the Class One body.

How do you figure that? Please don't tell me we've come to base our pricing gage of TBG "standard"?slow_jun wrote:deeeyymmm... pricey....SnoopMaxx wrote:At Tower

That is no standard in my book and I am not being biased.

Cookie for Reg. Well said.Charlie don't surf wrote:As far as creating a "vintage racing scene" it's a much better platformNone of this stuff will be collectable in 20 years, except to a small minority. The re-re influx is like yuppies on Harley's..they flock to something like sheep, play for a while and move on to whatever is next for the group. Some guys from that flock may become serious vintage enthusiast, but most won't, and as long as they enjoy it some it's all good.

Man, you are on a roll. Eat your Wheaties this morning?Charlie don't surf wrote:They devalue them as a whole by offering alternative options to original parts, but to what is considered "collectors" it really just offers more geniune parts availability brought out of closets as the attention ramps up memories of parts you had at your folks place, and sell (lower prices because of increased volume) on eBay. But thats ok by me![]()
Some guys built a safety net with RC10 parts values, which is being ripped up by re-res, as I'm sure may have happened with Tamiya stuff too.
