It's really interesting to see your build and report.

Only thing that I noticed during my build was a need for a washer between rear shock tower and transmission brace. While wondering this, I put together B2 rear end with original parts. And there it was... same gap with original parts. Normally, when screws are attached, rear and lifts up. Now when chassis is CF it doesn't bend and shock tower bends instead. Which is not wanted. So with a proper size washer rear shock tower will stay in its original position.

I have another idea for you too.... Instead of milling the bottom of the Transmission case, what if you shortened the rear of the chassis and milled out 1.2mm out of the chassis where the cut off T-plate would fit into? I guess in comparison to how the motor guard on the B4 fits on the back of the chassis. Seems like it would be in a more natural position that way.

I want one of those chassis, but no one in my area cuts graphite. Arrrrr!! Would your buddy be willing to cut one for me? I have pesos. Hahahaha. Let us know.

Yes, that was my other option for the rear end design. At the time I did not have a carbon cutting drill bit so decision was easy to make. Also with current design I can proceed to design you explained but not to opposite direction. So maybe I'll test it someday.

Some unwanted crash test was made to rear end design in a club race a few weeks ago. Race commentator told everybody to take starting grid positions... of course someone still came full speed to main straight ! Yes... direct hit to my motor mount. Now it's cracked and bent in a way that gear cover front end has a 1mm gap to motor mount plate. Thanks.

This was my setup yesterday at the track. B3 arms (B2's in the picture) and B44.2 battery cradles.
I dropped ESC down from shelf and routed servo and receiver wires through the gap between saddle packs.
This way battery CG moved 15mm forward and 1.5mm down. With extra 25g weight inside front box car felt really good.
Feels like now it's really starting to turn - first time. Until now rear end has been like glued to the track no matter what setup changes I make.

I got the parts a couple weeks ago... Have a b2 that I didn't know what to do with also. Just waiting for a friend to cut a chassis for me and I'm good to go.

Have you tried using a shorty pack inline placed all the way forward?

I've been looking for someone to cut one of these chassis for me, but no luck. Is your buddy willing to cut another?

As stated before, I can have the chassis cut. I've got one in hand I just got back and am looking forward to testing with

Sorry, can't do that... I do not own a shorty. I will stick with the saddle packs. Those fit all my cars.

Loving this chassis, would look even cooler with a top deck

Thanks to Orange to pointing it out.
I made a drawing of it and posted to start of this topic. For now on it's NIX9200L.
Note: There is no room for B44.2 battery cradles on that chassis.

I have also played with the double deck idea from the start of this project. I just don't think it's time for it right now. It would require redesign of all parts. I want to take "all out" of this single deck version. Still a lot of things to test.
