Thank you all for your continued support and much valued advise.

We've just returned from the cancer ward where Tracy has just completed day two of the infusion process. Yesterday was a 3 hour stint with today about 2 hours. We are back there for the same again tomorrow. It says a lot when the administering nurses wear full protection gear whilst handling the Chemo drugs. Face shield, over garments and not one but two pairs of latex gloves. WTF! Eh he he.
Despite this Tracy is upbeat and very positive about the process. Luckily she had a port surgically implanted in her chest last week and this will make the process easier and less traumatic throughout the coming months. The more we learn the better we feel about all that is going on. We wouldn't recommend this to anyone but it is very treatable and for that we are grateful.

The move down south again to stay with family has been a godsend. Both our boys enjoy being here and all the family are wrapped to have us here again. My eldest boy is 3 this Saturday so we will have people around for a cake and a bit of lunch.

Again thank you to those who have extended their support. To know that people here can care for one another's personal situation says a lot about this site's member base.

Closing up on two months now since we found out the bad news. Initially the shock and the acceptance of the situation was a lot to take on. The changes we've made to our lives to accommodate my wife's condition have also been vast.
Fast forward to today and Tracy is doing well. I have to say that I am very proud of her strength, spirit and positiveness. Obviously it's the Chemo process that tears you down and there have been some horribly bad days for her (and us). The deeper we get in the more we realize exactly what we are up against. Only 2 days ago she was admitted to hospital looking as white as a ghost. Her blood cell count was way low and she required a blood transfusion to set her straight. That night her hair was falling out in handfuls so we got the clippers out and took off what was left.
Still early days but we are definitely going to get through this. We are in good hands and have all the help we could want or need.
My wife has no idea I put this stuff up here but I am glad so many people here know what I am (we are) going through. Thank you.

Cheers-Jason

Hello Jason,
As somebody that has travelled a similar path to yours, my heart goes out to your and your family. I know advise is not always needed or wanted but stay strong and give your kids lots of cuddles and make sure Mum always feels the love of family. Kids are great healers.

Peter

4 years ago my wife went through 9 brain surgerys within a 3 month stint. At one point we decided that it was time to shave off what little hair was left. She was still a cutie with a "buzzed" head! Myself and my 2 boys buzzed our heads too...our 12 year old daughter couldnt bring herself to do it though...LOL!

Our prayers are with your family, we know how beneficial prayers from friends and family can be.

Hi guys.
I'm still around but not in the capacity that I was once well known for.

My wife was treated with some success but things will never be the same again. She survived the cancer but our marriage didn't. Moving states and in with her parents brought with it other issues and this in itself was always of some concern to me. My wife ended the marriage back in August 2013 and things have been very difficult since.

Now days I'm not doing anything rc related with my focus being on work and time with my two young sons.

I appreciate the kind thoughts from you guys and I'm still around.

Cheers- Jason
