Thanks, this is a little re-assuring, although mine has been compressed slightly and has a actual crease, rather than just being bent. I'll try charging in the garage safely and see what happens.

Ahhh... I see you found one of my Chuck pics. Yes he lives in my basement, spends most of his time riding vintage BMX bikes. I can't hate, he's got a nice collection.
