Hate to point out other things but!

The manifold flange is square, the manifold screw is a button head phillips, the left rear arm mount is tapered on the front much like the right to clear the spur gear, this must be pre production! The rear hub is more like the original rc10 with a 1/4x4-40 nut on the ball stud. The rear hub must also be a prototype or they used 1/4x3/8 flanged bearings on a old hub.

Now that's a good eye....... I missed that one and I don't think I would have ever caught that. I'm currently working on the manifold now. The screws will follow.

Edit: nevermind I just looked. The arm is already tapered like the right side. But the difference is the gold screws versus the kit supplied black screws. I will change those out next. Thanks for pointing my eyes that way Rod.

What I just caught tonight was the carb and filter setup that comes on the Yokomo is different than the box. The set screw on the O.S. filter is what caught my eye. I'm now in the process of getting the larger pre stage filter to fit.

Here's the Yokomo carb that came off

Engine in the manual with the O.S. carb on it

And the rear hub? Should be easy to do, you can get the bearings from BOCA!

I'm not sure I follow you on the rear hub but they do look slightly different now I look. Does the box hub have a beefier arm on it? That's what it looks like I'm seeing?

It's all the time consuming little parts. But you are correct. It will sure be worth it in the end.

I will be working on it very soon. I just heard back that the header was an in house made part at Associated. So that ends my search of not knowing where it came from. I just need to source out a skilled tig welder. I can fabricate the parts pretty easily.

Friend sent me a picture of a weld his friend did. I think I found my welder

Flange removed, new pre filter installed-( still not happy with this one. It was too large so I trimmed it and glued it. It didn't come out too well when the glue dried.)

Almost ready to weld. A little more file work and a little sanding. And I wish I hadn't broken my 3mm tap.

Spent all morning calling looking for a 3mm tap. Gave up and just made one out of a socket head screw.

Will be giving it to my friend on Monday so he can have his friend weld it. He also has my flywheel so that will probably be done about the same time.

Wow, nice work. Totally reminds me of the 1/8 pan headers- built like a brick house of the fecal type!
