I just got my donor chassis in (Thank you Drbellville for the new RC10LSS chassis) and the work has begun. I just finished the chassis braces and hope to have the tranny brace finished tomorrow.
I hope to have enough material to mill a battery hold out of as well.
The tranny was completed with a set of ceramic diff balls and spins easily. I may end up changing the bellcranks because I don't have the needed room to mount the chassis braces. I need to sit down and take a hard look at the bellcranks.
REGGIE!!! I am calling........
Enjoy the pics. I cannot wait to get this car done, it is kind of a pain in the ass to be honest. Not too much more to do.
Jake

Looks familiar, and AWESOME!
On the front side of the chassis, try putting the braces on the inside of ther nose tubes instead of the outside:

Thanks for the suggestion TC. Even if I go on the inside of the tube, I still don't have the room I need.
As of now the bellcranks are out. I need a lower profile set to make the room needed. I am on the hunt for a set of white bellcranks as we speak. If they are not ball bearing they will be converted to accept ball bearings

for the a&l chassis brace kit, they telll you to file a notch in the end of the nose brace tube so the brace can sit somewhat flush with the inside edge of the tube. not sure if it'll give you ALL the room you need, but you'll have more room than you do
now.
you're also so supposed the shave that small raise square area off the side of the bulkhead to make more clearance where the brace slides between
it and the tub.
a build i never finished:

I machined the bulkhead down to make room for the braces, however they are still a little thick. I may take a bit out of the braces for a better fit.
I remebered your posts about the Traxxas bulkheads and will be picking up a set of those for this build.

I just finished up the wing tubes, shock mounts, and the tranny brace.
I have the other rear arm here at the house but I have to make some adjustments before I can mount it. I still need to make the stuff to hold the battery down and pick up a set of B4 CVDs. Once I get those parts done, I am calling this one done.
