the bottom half looks traxxas cat like. I know those are traxxas cat wheels anyway. Top half/rollcage is something I've seen before but can't place a name on it. Someone will come thru though...

I second the Bison F10, It looks to be missing the body that goes over the cage

I did not know there was an official thread for this until today.

I was able to get these cvds from a parts box at LHS and have no clue where they are from. I have searched everywhere on the internet and have had no luck :x

-My guess is they are not MIP because the outdrive cup is chrome.
-They are 2 ¾ inches long and use a 4mm locknut at the end.
-They fit perfectly on a nitro 4 tec. (But were not made for this car).

Has anyone ever seen these before? Or know what kit they belong too? Any help would be great. Thanks

The drive train of that Nikko is a copy of the grasshopper. It uses nylon bushings which can be replaced by ballbearings (did that for a friend ages ago)

As I said in the other thread, based on the diff outdrive and CVD length, I guess they are for a Kyosho Spider (Pure Ten).

Based on the glossy finish, they could be from Kose or Cross, except that neither has made CVD-style axles for the Pure Ten Spider cars to my knowledge (only regular universals).

I did a little research and found the pure ten uses black cvds. They also use a different connection style from the cvd bone to the axle. Cross also uses this connection style. I will admit these cvds have been the hardest thing to identify ever :x

The black CVDs are Kyosho's stock units. Kyosho also has a slightly different length that are a flat silver color. Aftermarket units - which these likely are - don't need to be the same color or style.

I'm pretty sure that the CVDs you're trying to identify are for a Kyosho car, because the diff outdrive cup shown (with the setscrew) is a design typically used by Kyosho for their gear diffs.

Those chrome outdrives are a Duratrax part number; they're originally for a Duratrax Maximum ST/BX. They happen to be perfect swaps for the Kyosho cars but I don't think they were intentionally made for Kyoshos. Maybe the CVDs are also made for a Duratrax?

I agree the outdrive cups I have do look like the duratrax outdrive cups. I have provided a picture for reference. As far as the cvds go the only thing I could find that looks remotely close to the cvds I have are the duratrax cvds for the evader (see picture they are too long).

Duratrax never made cvds as short as the ones I have (I think :? ). I checked out the street force cvds and they are black. My guess is these are duratrax cvds given the evidence but i am still not 100% sure.

Thanks for the help guys. I will search around a little bit more for Kyosho cvds. If anyone can locate a pair of these let me know.
