The group is still viewable, but I have to search for it. It no longer appears in my Group list. It might be wise to go through the files section and pull down anything I might want to save. You uploaded most of it anyway, I think, so there probably isn't much there that you don't already have.

Being American, I had never seen the old British magazine articles, so those are a treat. I asked a Top Cat question once (probably a stupid one, as things go) and Phil Booth answered it. So as "difficult" as that group could be sometimes, they definitely had credibility.

Sadly, no longer open for business, although you can go and look at the content still, just not add to it.

Local pickup from Gumtree (of all places).... should satiate my Tamiya wrenching craving!!!
Two TT01s, a TT01e, and an M03 (in M03L configuration). Plus a metric squibload of spares, including more than 10 of the same sprue..... apparently, the previous owners used to go to the local track as a family, and cut loose, resulting in many of the same breakages, and thus many of the same spare parts sprues being bought.

Should keep me busy a while.... will have to replace the bodies, and probably wheels and tyres too... but they all come with Tamiya XB radio sets, and ESCs. Plus, more batteries than you can throw a 10CC kit at!

Received some special bodies today...

(Mugen Mercury custom body, and prototype repro body)...

So many things in the past couple of days, it is a bit overwhelming! Now I won't get anything for a month!

Today was:

driveshafts / hub couplers / wheel adapters for the puller. Oh, and solid carbide drill bits so I can hopefully drill through said driveshafts for pins. This may or may not work, but it will be fun trying.

Many SRB items for that project. Electronics box, rear wheel adapters (yea, broke the originals very quickly), motor cover, and rear cage.

And the least vintage, but honestly the one I love the most for the day ..... a Kyosho Fazer '65 Rivi body!! As soon as I saw A Kyosho Rivi in the HTUSA, I knew I needed that body, and they are they available as a part now, and clear so can paint something not black. I have a Fazer in storage, but it is a short Camaro (which I admit I have a new body for already), so a long chassis and ds was needed. Well worth it! That car is beautiful, and thanks to Kyosho for bringing it!!!

I just got these micro snap ring pliers for thr RC10 Classic 40th drive gear bushing retaining ring and it made installing the ring SUPER easy. It’ll also be great for future tear downs as I went with ball bearings instead of using the bushings. Highly recommend this tool:

Which one did you get, straight, 45,or 90?

Futaba R122JE receiver and minty Reedy 1320MG servo, which I've never seen one of these servos before. I know the digits in Reedy servos stand for the speed and torque specs, but internet search comes up with nadda for this servo.

Another good day with the postman, with this errata arriving

First up, a big bag of bearings from my good mate @Bullfrog. He sent these to me for my TT01 rebuilds - just another way I am in debt to this great bloke. 100 x 1150s, 50 x 850s, and 24 x 1280s..... should keep the machines running smooth.
Second up, a delivery from Metro Hobbies, a local hobby shop here. Parts include a Cougar Classic gear cover for my Vintage Bash 3.0 Cougar2, some TT01 steering parts (these are always the parts that get lost!), and some TA05 diff outdrives and TA02 ball diff parts (because they were cheap).

I went with straight and used my opposite thumb to hold the ring opposite the clips against the gear while lowering the compressed clip side of the ring into the groove. it dropped right in and sprung into place on the first try. Easy peasy.

I’m sure the 45-degree or 90-degree bend pliers would do the job just as well. The main benefit was
not having to pry the rings in and out, which seems frustrating and potentially ripe for damaging the ring. It was a bit of a luxury purchase no doubt, but made install a near zero hassle process as the rings and these pliers were made for one another.

Picked up another Hobbywing 1080 , 17T Team Brood, and Reedy servo on Ebay.

Also bought a new Hitec RDX1 charger, figuring that I needed something better and more modern.

Hopefully this one doesn’t walk away on its own

Well, it's not a 10mm, so maybe there's a chance it doesn't. But those are very "comfortable" in the hand.

It isn't RC, but it will make RC.

But first challenge is to make little boats..................

Supposedly a new never used Futaba T2PL (has no signs of any wear whatsoever, so I believe it), 16x2 4WD Off-road Mega motor, and Speedworks Blueprint Series 25x1 "Dirt oval stock" red label.
