71, just came across a killer deal on a set of baby Dellortos, so, they are now in a box inside the car. 98% of the car is there/complete, just disassembled by the previous owner. Its going to be a primer car for a little while, we are going to focus on mechanical and safety first, paint will be last.

Love the wheels on yours, I was looking at those for a future upgrade. They just went higher on the list.

I look forward to seeing you get it on the road. The baby Dellortos are a great call! I fought with the fuel injection for longer than I care to admit before putting a set of baby Webbers on the car... We picked ours up as a one owner that had sat for 20+ years under a tarp (full of rats🙄). Lot's of cleaning, new pan halves and interior and she was on the road with the O.G. paint🤙 Lowering the car 1.5" and adding the BRM's definitely set the car just right.

I'm not a full scale car guy at all, but my daughter leaves for college soon, so I finally let her drive my father in law's toy car. 17K miles. The power worried me in the past. Her and her bf had fun. He leaves tomorrow, she leaves the 22nd. 😪

An aesthetic update on Grendel showing off her backside. I'm going for a look that the purists are gonna hate, but I think the body color-painted bumpers and blacked-out grille and taillight surrounds will make her look more menacing.

TaillightFinishPanel-Installed1.jpg

Front grille, before...lots of damaged fins to fix, so I went a different way to mod it, improve the durability, and personalize it. I think the goth mascara and eye shadow will make Grendel look more intimidating. The front bumper assembly is pretty much ready to bolt back on the car.

After repairs, cutting out 4 sections and epoxying in some aluminum hex mesh and reinstalling grille inside bumper loop:

2003 WRX Sonic wagon TRESTOY literally

My 4th turbo Subaru, never had a wagon though and I stumbled onto this one kinda by chance. It was completely stock, no rust, original paint. Been going through it as time and money allows. All new front end components, 4 piston front brake set up, pulled the engine over the summer and did head gaskets, head studs, new oil and water pumps, new STi oil pan and pick up, RCM timing components, resealed the injectors, ACT clutch and flywheel, went through all the shifter linkage, up and down pipes, 3” quiet exhaust, larger rear sway bar, hd front and rear links and bushings, a mild tune and a nice stereo system. It sleeps in the garage, but if the weathers good I drive it.

Excellent we are talking about slightly oddball boosted cars!

This one is my baby…1991 Dodge Colt w/4G63 swap.
Owned since 2001 and I’ve driven it swapped for well over 100K mi. Best it’s gone in 1/4 is 12.1@117. It makes upper 300whp to the tires and weighs 2380lbs full of gas.

They don’t make any cool parts for 1991 Dodge Colts to go fast so I fabbed all the intercooler piping and exhaust and it uses driveline from Eagle Talon/Mitsu Eclipse/Plymouth Laser.

It’s essentially a bunch of junkyard parts assembled in a manner I can go scare myself with. 8)

Love it!

And 12.1@117 is cooking for 300whp! Guessing your fwd?

I had an 05 wrx that I bought new, ended up ej207 swapping it, big rotated turbo, lots of other mods, made about 450whp on 93. The car was right around 3000lbs. On street tires it would run 11.7@118. I could never get it to 60’ better than high 1.8s with that set up, but guys making the same power running drag radials were doing 1.60s were running bottom 11s with similar set ups. I found a guy with a mostly stock 03 wrx, he gave me his car and 8k and I kept my ce28n’s and that was that. I put the Volks on the 03, did a 4 pot front brake swap, tuned it and drove it for a while. Eventually traded it in on a truck. Later picked up a Legacy GT, sold that, bought a truck again. Kept that truck, bought an e30 and went through it completely. A young guy made me a great cash offer on the bmw. A few months later I found the wagon. Back to what I know lol.

Plan is to drive it as is for a while. I’d like to buy a new truck in the next few years, hopefully before all the v8s go away. Then I want to turn the wagon into a monster. I’d like to make it run 10s and still remain streetable.

Blue car was the built one and there’s a shot of the e30.

Here is one of my better financial decisions.

Bought this 1991 F150 2wd back in 2016 for $1500.
Has 5.0 EFI, AOD Auto, 80K mi, porno red interior, and zero rust on anything.

The 91 is the last of the F-series sporting no-airbag, no-ABS, and hi/lo dimmer on the floor.

It was built with union pride in Dearborn back in 1991 on a Monday or a Friday.
(Maybe they pulled it to the side and worked on this very special one both days?)

I’ve had the engine and trans out multiple times performing mechanical exorcisms and it is still an oil belching 180hp slug with the BEST working Air conditioning you’ve ever felt.

I live in a little more farming-minded community.
People literally run up and tell you how much money they want to give you for it while you run errands with it. We have come out from eating dinner to some woman laying under it in the dark and surprised the heck out of us saying how clean it is. Kids with bro-hats yell “square body” and “OBS” when they see it.

My wife does not like this truck, or that we need 2 pickup trucks for that matter.

It sees 500mi a year and takes up precious garage space. I wouldn’t trust it out of the county. The speedo is practically buried on the freeway. It leaks at least 2 fluids at any given time. (I think maybe the rings have no tension with the blow by)
But it runs like a leaky piece of 80K mi Detroit iron with a good tune up should.

Oh you bet, it has twin gas tanks for lots of idling that 5 liter air conditioner.

Not for sale. 😎

I have a mild roller cam/gt40 head 302 build going. Things should get better soon.

Wow that’s beautiful, looks like it’s in fantastic condition.
Mine wants to say hi and thank you to its older brother :D
I hope it looks at least half as good still when it’s over 30.
