Polish those up with liberal amounts of elbow-grease and wet-sanding...shame about the set-screw divots, though. That's why I'll never use that kind of collar...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
I’s not Ultima/Optima shocks, because those are 10mm in diameter. This one is only 8 mm… They look just like the early Scorpion shocks, but those weren’t anodized red. They look familiar, but I can’t place them on any Kyosho car… might be from some Kyosho gas car from the early eighty’stony13b wrote:Yes those are definitely kyosho some one took the anodizing off or it worn off,,the rears are landjump with crp collars and retainers and the fronts are Ultima Optima also with crp collars,,good shocks hard to find those collars and retainers...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
I think this is some sort of Kyosho, but I'm not sure. Any ideas?

You are probably right, but I think Kyosho never reach the same heights that the Bruiser did. I have 2½ of those Chevys from Kyosho, and one of them is showed in my pictures above

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Well its certainly cool in its own right but I think its biggest downfall was the four wheel independent trailing arm suspension. I feel if they went with two straight axles like the Bruiser it would have put it on the same level of desirability. They still command a hefty price though.

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Somebody on another site I frequent has posted this car, looking for an ID... any ideas? I'm just curious.
