I bought this car many years ago and I may have bought it from a member here.
TC3 or TC4? I can't remember, and all the CF is throwing me off.
I bought it because it I have a TC4 I use for running around in the street or parking lot.
It's an Associated TC5R FT

Thanks Terry, I was thinking that it was the same model year or one older than the TC4.

Hey all,
Got this car in my dad's garage. I know its an A&L chassis but what was it originally? When I compare it to the optima mid and yz10 the front end looks a little different, but I don't know. I was told it was an optima mid, but the chassis doesn't look like the A&L optima version that was released, this could be pre-production I guess.
Sorry for the bad pic, I'll have to get another one when I'm up there next. if this one doesn't help.

Looks like a kyosho optima rear end, and a mid front gearbox, belt conversion? Not sure about the arms, out drives look like early YZ-10? But steering uprights and steering knuckles are Kyosho optima /mid era.
Anyone else?

Thanks, the part on the front gearbox that was throwing me off was the recess for the case halves clamping screw nearest the front bumper. Most pics I've seen have been with the case staying a constant width, but that was just me doing a quick google search.

I'm putting together what I had assumed was an RC200 when I noticed an extra hole in the engine plate (circled in green) that looks like it could be used for a brake cam. Now I'm wondering if what I actually have is an RC150 engine pod that's been swapped over to an RC200 brake?

I bought a car to have a servo, motor and esc.
My best guess is that this is a TC4 RTR. Does anyone have a better guess?

I don't know what it is but it's not a TC3 or TC4. There are some similar features, but they have differences and are on the opposite sides of the chassis. The chassis also has removable front and back sections which is a difference.

Thunder Tiger does own Associated, so it's not surprising to hear.
