Interesting cut view of the tranny also: i notice the particular intermediate internal pinion to obtain the right gear ratio in the optimized space.
It really seems to be a nice car: visually, and tehcnically modern trends (chassis, large arms, etc).
The intermediate internal pinion as you call it is actually the diff. Because of it's location you can adjust the balldiff without having to remove the dogbones. Critcs will claim the design was stolen of the Losi JRX-2.
If you want to see more pictures: check the threat by red-scampi on his restoration.

I hear all of you, I am not into Kyosho very much, to be completely honest I stopped in to get some glue at this old hobby shop. and he had these two kits. I really enjoy building cars but I dont have a place to run them, thats not a 2-2 1/2 drive 1 way. so I left and did some research and seems this Pro-X is pretty rare? and yes I am trying to get through Nursing school because I have been layed off for three years and despertly need to go back to work. So I went back picked it up and though I could sell it quick and maybe make a couple of bucks toward school? You know if it was a Losi or RC10 we would not be having this conversation. I have never liked Hyosho just because of the parts problem. look we are world wide and I cant find 4 little turn buckles?? so if I build it I will not run it. I know money is tight but I wont loose money on it or I will keep it but their is some room to move around with it. thats why I offered up trades, I would love a nice XXX, XXXcr, or B2,B3, even a few 4wd cars? what does everyone think this kit is worth? I feel 500 is not out of line, I just saw a Losi Pro es go for more than that in this state?
LOSI RULES!!

I am suprized it didnt to better it seems like a solid platform. looks like a cross betweew the Losi XX and a B3 the trans looks solid? maybe it was just ahead of its time?
